SON1C I can't believe you actually let snow touch that car. You must have been away on business and you wife left it out. Or maybe you were abducted by aliens.

Nice mod list! I really want to get a header but it's just a PITA to install. I'm not after extracting all the power anyway. I just want the car to sound good. And damn 230whp!!! WOW!

Mind if I ask how you blew the engine twice? Is it because the new redline is now 8600RPM from the FP tuning?

Is it bad if you get on it often? I've been hearing mixed opinions about it. Whenever I gun it, I always feel bad but a lot of people say the k20z3 can handle it and it's meant to be driven that way.

Warranty had gone out (63k) at time of trade. Beginning stages of clear coat failure, 2nd and 3rd gear would grind if shifting over 5500RPM and it was tire hungry.

Clear coat issues were wide spread with the black and blue, and apparently so was the 2nd and 3rd gear grind that developed over time. I just didn't want to get stuck with a car that needed to be repainted and that I needed to have the transmission checked. I just wasn't able to start paying for a bunch of out of pocket expenses.

I was able to trade out of it smelling like a rose. I had about 5k in equity when I traded into my truck in August.

I always said that I was going to keep it, pay it off, make it a garage queen and build it, but I know that I'll end up buying another one at some point and making it my toy.

Honda finally admitted to the crows feet issue on black and blue and they're now covering it under extended warranty.
 
Some nice cars in here. I especially like the 300zx/MR2 Honda S2000 and super nice Civic si. All fun cars to drive. I gotta admit though I am partial to Japanese sports cars! Seeing the 300zx does make me kinda sad though as I had to trade in my 32,000 1990 to get my FD :awman:

SON1C, I was surprised to see the snow on your car! And unfortunately you know what comes with that.............SALT AWWWW.

I'm going with I've angered the detailing gods and they're punishing me with freezing cold, snow, and of course excessive salt..

Lol you're telling me!
The wax definitely aids in getting it cleaned up, but I always feel as though the lsp is compromised after a soiling like you see lol, even more so with the salt and other chemicals on the road
Depends on the wax, ss II is still holding up well, idk how much after this gunk gets to sit on it a couple days, regardless it's getting striped and new wax next week!

Even though dd and outdoor 247 my car is seldom dirty lol, a quality lsp makes the world of a difference, unfortunately salt is outta my league! Don't worry strip wash and wax coming next week :xyxthumbs:

Is it hard to drive RWD on snow? I've only driven once on snow and I had FWD (withone snow tires or chains) and it was scary!!!!
 
I'm not sure but more than likely I'm going to use Americana

Driving rwd in the snow is awful lol..
Heavy engine front light ass rear then to add insult to injury my car is rev happy with under drive pullies and 4.10 gears
I had to attempt a hill twice lol, and I could slide the rear end with ease, it's not fun at all.. Lol

I like both the red and silver but I especially like the color red on the coupe! You got a sweet ride there! That car has got to be a little ball of fire! I will be posting a thread in the Show n Shine section in the next few days with post Opti-Guarded Pics of my Twin Turbo FD. Look out for it!

SON1C, yep thats the salt I was talking about. Makes cars look so bad. I did a 5.5 hour job detailing my Dad's Maxima last week and yesterday we had to drive it in the snow to Baltimore. It is salt TRASHED!!

I had that too. When did they decide to come out of the closet?

I don't know why they don't just come out and admit that their paint sucks. Always has IMHO.
