Beautiful morning for running errands. A guy in a G8 GT saw me and went out of his way to go through the parking lot I entered. He came in one side, drove by slowly, and then left without stopping. People be creepin.

I know people hate when I do this (ask about something in the background), but what is that thing on your deck? At first glance it looked like a telescope, but it seems to be something else.

I’m sure they were just admiring that beauty! Anyone still rocking a G8 GT is probably a major gear head. I regret not buying a G8 GT when new.

And speaking of GT500s in general, the early S197 models are super appealing. Found some 07 and 08s with LOW miles for mid $30s.

CarPro Darkside just applied, a single, light coat applied, will level later but I've learned to apply this product L I G H T L Y

Also what you'll notice is the gloss of these wheels, that TAC System Water Flow making them look WETT️️

Yea, I figured they were just looking, but at least roll down the window and say hey. Windows were so tinted I couldn't see them inside. Gave me cop vibes hahaha.

Those early S197s are very appealing price-wise! I would definitely call that affordable. I have tossed around the ides of getting one someday to pile the miles on. Maybe. The 2013-14 models are certainly a level up on price. But I understand why.

That's really the only thing in the package Car & Driver considered a "plus". It's one of those less is more($) situations. Like the sunroof delete the package comes with for lower center of gravity. If you aren't gonna toss it around a track, you'll never notice.

Crazy to think my 2017 GTI sport was just $28k lol. No more manual option in a Golf platform. Bloody madness.

And for $4k more you can get a minty GT500 lol
