The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

Dirt road living. The worst part about it is always having dirty hands from the door handles.

Lol then all that mud would be inside, and the 20° commutes would be terrible.

I blasted the mud off at the quarter wash.

That stance is spot on, glad it doesn't have the 70's/80's look (jacked up in the rear w/ 50-series white lettered tires)

Yeah it’s lowered 2” all the way around. Want a retro mod look and probably going 19” squared or staggared 19/20.

What's "retro" about 19/20's Just my opinion as an outsider but who eats, sleeps and drinks all things cars but the last thing you wanna so is make your car look like a DUB CITY toy you find in the toy department at Wal-Mart. Now let me bring in some practicality to the comments. A 20" rim on the rear will dwarf your current brake set-up, even more so if it still has drums. Now a 15" rotor/Brembo caliper outback is ok but also the ride quality with 20's outback with less aspect ratio might make you miss your current set up. Lastly those "rubber bands" outback could affect your ratio, i.e. lower profile tire could lower the height and this making the tires spin even easier, sometimes you want that but more times than not you DON'T

The mod in retro mod stands for modern. I get what your saying about the brakes and the plan is to upgrade to wilwood discs all the way around. Also changing the front A arms.

This is set up by rushforth wheels who specialize in wheels with proper with and offset for differnent rear ends. Really like this Chevelle

I feel the 17’s in it look too small and the 18’s are OK. The pic is 20/19 and just deciding if 20’s on rear are to big for me. If thats the case 19’s squared.

For me theirs a difference between wheels that fit and “dub city”. To me these fit well.

Yeah I'm familiar with restomods and this is purely opinion but I'm just not a fan of modern style rims in plus sizes on old cars. Now your current set-up is nice, Torque Thrusts were popular back then...BUT you have a modern finish and size and when combined with the stance looks awesome and VERY tasteful. Kinda like the car went through a time machine with one foot "back in the day" and the other one "in today"

It's all about balance IMO
