The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

Yeah man I figured something was going on in your life when you were away. Glad you work through it and getting back to your garage therapy.

Mental shifts tough to deal with, you know AG peeps are here for you though.

Alrhough I thought your last car looked nice i didn’t think it fit the car guy you are…. The N fits and you ####### deserve it.

And yes this car is in a whole different “Klasse”

This looks like one of those colors that takes on a lot of color from the surroundings, time of day, etc and it is going to look so different from pic to pic

I personally like paints like that

:xyxthumbs:

After run through the touch-free, drove home, cleaned with DG WW and swiped with Griot's Garage rubber prep. More pics coming later

She's beautiful. True Forged wheels? My cousin had a Sonic Blue termi, I should have bought it when he sold it. Very fun car. SVT nailed it on those cobras.
Thanks. Yup True Forged Mach 5's. I've owned the car since 2010. Awesome cars for sure!
I must say, your garage is like a showroom - clean and bright. The floors look spotless and brand new. I like what is visible, looks like a wishlist type of garage one would keep forever.
I appreciate it! We bought the shop about a year ago. Then had the floors polyurea coated professionally. And had a security system installed.

I'm very fortunate, I've been wanting something like this for nearly 20 years! We only have a 1 stall detached garage at the house. So now we've been able to add more cars to the stable.

I'm spoiled. The shop has a bathroom, AC and heat.

I like the grayer tint to the color than the white of your profile pict but that looks like a fun car. Congrats man!

I think it is very interesting how the huge changeover in popular car colors has happened in the last few years

From cement gray to dull muted blues you would never think should be on a car, but at least for me, I like them

Add a poker and pool table and we’re all gonna drive down! So jealous. Congrats to you though.

So here's the first clean up of the EN, not even my usual wash but good enough for now

So it has the product on it called Xzilon, so days of rain should be a good test, right? I take it to the touch-free wash, spray down the tires and wheels with TWHS Hyper Foam Tire and wheel cleaner, wash and drive away. After getting to where I was going I see it has that very light dirt haze, so much for this products self cleaning abilities

I get home and decide to get after it! I wiped the tires down w/ Griot's Garage rubber prep, do a DG WW and apply Adam's VRT to the tires. I chose these products spur of the moment, plus I'm not getting to serious yet, although they made clean up easy and I'm pretty happy with the results for a "quickie". I also vac'd out the mats, sprayed Griot's leather scent inside and used TWHS Interior Detailer on the screen and gloss black interior bits (those are going to be fun, not as plentiful as other cars I've seen though)

I plan on doing a FULL detail come spring, including TAC system power plus paint coating, screw that xzilon stuff!

Thank you for all the comments guys, it's really appreciated

Lol, that right there is a garage one could set a recliner sofa chair and a TV in and never have to leave.😁
As was said, add a poker table and it becomes the local guys hangout. Perfect decorations too with the cars.

Just posting this here for posterity. My 2018 garage queen that had only 19k miles when pronounced dead 3 weeks ago. This was going to be my forever girl and I am heartbroken over losing her. RIP baby and thank you for protecting my loved ones and me in our time of need. ❤️

That looks more like a futuristic concept car than a production car. Nice! But you’re missing a picture of its heart!

Beautiful and fun car! Sorry to hear about your car but I’m glad you and your family are safe.

It's a 2022 Hyundai Elantra N and I basically took advantage of the used car buying frenzy right now. Yeah my car was a bit more but I wanted a change and anyways that car was attached to my ex. Since then I've been through some real lows, even stayed away from AG, went through counseling and slowly life has gotten better and this is just a small part of it

Didn't mean to get too heavy but for me a car is more than getting from A to B and since I can't afford a "toy", this was my next best option! There's something about knowing what's waiting for you every morning when you take your daughter to daycare or getting off of work, it's really good therapy for me️My old Abarth did this for me and while I liked the ES and will never bad mouth it, THIS car is in an entirely different league

You do not need to be sorry for getting too heavy, we all need an outlet where we can offload some of our burdens. I'm glad you felt comfortable putting it into words, guys are generally very good at keeping all this stuff inside, often to their own detriment.

I started seeing a therapist just after I got my Mustang in 2017. This was around when a lot of stuff that had been brewing for years started to boil over. I have kept seeing this person monthly ever since, mental health is something you have to work on and maintain.......just like a car. I call my Mustang "the anti-depressant", I don't mean that in a bragging sort of way, rather it's something I have in my life that recenters my thoughts back to something more pleasant rather than what's burning in my brain. I also call this "distractive therapy".

For everyone reading please know you are not alone, life is hard, and never be afraid to voice how you are feeling. It really does help to talk, or type, about things that are weighing on your mind........even if it's for a few minutes.

What are the seats like, they look great!

Congrats Deyon

What are planning to use coating wise? Also I never asked this about the Stang, is it stock (other than the rims)

Sent from my SM-G991U using Tapatalk

Coating wise, I probably should have worded that different. I'm planning on using Gyeon Q2 Wax on this car, I love it on my XR8 so I will be interested to see what it can do to non-metallic red.

I have never really modified cars, when I have it has generally been with OE parts as that's what I prefer. The Mustang is a little bit different.

Within a couple of months, the factory exhaust was the first thing to go. These earlier S550 V8 Mustang's were very quite from an exhaust note point of view. I didn't want to go crazy, I just wanted to actually hear it! I went with a Borla Touring cat-back, the chrome tips also somewhat mimic the factory items. It can potter around town with gentle burble, but it howls when you get on it.

The factory system is taking up space in my storage unit.

I also swapped out the factory air filter, guaranteed to add an extra 100 HP!

I pretty much left it as is until 2020, when I started to add or swap a few things. First I swapped out the crappy factory mats for some with a little extra punch.

The Ford Performance wheels were next, such a fun process of getting these prepped and fitted.

Last year I added a Ford Performance catch can and blue coil covers.

In terms of future plans/wishes, I would like to add a different steering wheel, perhaps a GT350 version -

I would also love to paint the calipers Race Red to match -

As it stands, I'm happy to just tinker and enjoy.

One of these drove past my place on Saturday first time seeing one but in blue.

Nice pick up!

A couple nights ago while refilling the 5 gallon jugs of drinking water, a younger guy pulls up to buy some water and he tells me “damn man your car is Clean”!

Lol. I couldn’t help but laugh. It feels good to get comments like that from strangers. Never gets old. It’s flattering.
