I am sorry for your loss and so thankful you and your family are safe.

Losing a pet is hard and they are unreplaceable.

Thank you so much....your generosity is very uplifting...I'm ok for now...I won't be doing any detailing where I am since there is really no space...but, once I'm back in my garage, it's going to be fun...it just won't be this summer...again, thanks! :)

I am so sorry to hear of your misfortune TkdDad. Stay strong through the recovery and best of luck with the life rebuild. I am hopeful you and your family will be stronger as a result.

Mike, thanks for that...the song lyrics are appropriate for sure...I look forward to participating in the forum in a much more uplifting way in the future....once we get through this "process", things will start looking up...and yes, we have insurance but the numbers are not in yet...until then, we just have to wait...updates as they become available...thanks for the warm welcome.
 
Quick update: It's been 99 days since February 23rd. Seems like a long time. However, the "process" is slow and sometimes painful. We are at the "demo" stage...first step of that stage is to take all of the belongings which cannot be salvaged (which was 99% of them) and put them in dumpsters. Watching the first hour of that to make sure they didn't throw something out that we might have missed, was extremely difficult. View attachment 48783

Now that all the contents are gone, the house is gutted to the studs. Everything comes out...and I mean everything...here's one room as it was getting gutted:

Once the gutting process is completed, sometime next week, then the structural repairs to the main beam etc can begin...we're getting there!...one day at a time...
