That's great news Roger! FINALLY! Im the MAN

That is great news. Can't wait to hear how you like the FMIC. It is on my short list for the S60.

The FMIC for my car is all about efficiency. The OE IC's are small, side mounts, one on each side. There's ducting to take cool air in and ducts to let the hot air out. I'm sure they work fine but when you start modding your car like I have there's always something better to make it more "fun".

I've heard and seen a video with the carted DP and that's probably going to be next....stay "tuned" 🇮🇹

Good new! It's about time :). In the ST community guys are complaining on the forums if they haven't gotten their parts in a week.

Seems like a lot of car makers cheep out on the IC. That's one of the first things I replaced on my car, because any amount of spirited driving and it was heat soaked.

Is the FMIC small on the FoST? I'm sure you know about the FiST as well and it seems it's getting all the attention in the tuner world. I see Matt Farrah's FiST makes 218/288, that's insane!

The stock FMIC is small. I think I would have replaced it even if I was still running the stock tune.

The FiST is a hot little car! Every review I've read has been nothing but positive. I'd like to test drive one just to compare it to my car.

If I were to have a FiST it would be green with the Recaros and the darker wbeels, for the FoST it would be the tangerine w/ Recaros.

The install of the ATM FMIC is this Sunday, I can't wait! While my buddy is at and the "frontbutt" is removed (yes, that's what it called, LOL) we're going to be replacing a foglight that doesn't work. I had them upgraded last year when I first got the car but they didn't check to make sure they worked (had to remove the "frontbutt" too) so for the past year plus I haven't been able to use my driving lights as one is out. My buddy is also making a special bracket for an Abarth badge that's going down in the corner of the grill, think JCW or ST badge placement, looks OEM too! Finally the tuning box is going to be turned up to the next level since I'll have a FMIC, not to mention the previous installation of the ported MPx TB and 500 Madness lightened crank pulley.

Really looking forward to this mod, its been a long time coming!

BTW I'm detailing my buddy's wifes Scion xB the day before, a part of our service for service deal we've had for quite some time :dblthumb2:

IMy rental for a couple days. I have a bad MAP sensor, so it's being replaced under warranty. While it's there the ATM FMIC is being installed and foglight bulb replaced. I will also turn up the tuning box to setting # 8 from #7.

The car acted up yesterday, throwing a solid cel but also ESC and some red lighting bolt too which was something for electronic throttle. This put the car into limp mode but after sitting 9 hrs at work yesterday only the cel remained, the other 2 lights were gone and didn't come back in 20 miles of driving to my buddy's house and back home or the 50 mile drive to Wisconsin to the dealership...BECAUSE FIATCAR 🇮🇹

They have to order the MAP so I'm thinking the FMIC will be installed in the meantime, so this my ride till probably mid next week if I had to guess. I have to say I'm surprised by this 500L. Its way different inside than mine for sure and Uconnect crushed BlueandMe which is my radio/phone set up in the Abarth. It has the same engine but not built here in the USA though, it's built in Italy, along with the tranny. The 500L has a final assembly point of Serbia.

Can't wait to get my car back all healed up and running stronger than ever 😎

Roger,

Actually, the 500L is not a 500 at all. It is a Punto marketed in the US as a 500 because Fiat has spent a lot of money marketing the 500 in the US and they want to tie into that recognition. Just my $.02 worth!

<TED>

Now that Fiat owns Chrysler, the Italian carmaker is returning to the US market for the first time since 1983. Leading the charge is the Fiat 500, hoping to cash in on the same “cute & fun” traits which made the Mini Cooper so popular.

I agree Ted, I wish they had called it as well as the X something different.

Ted, you getting ready for the Dragon, it's never too early

Hey Roger! Glad the car is getting fixed up! You will be zipping around again in no time.
Glad you gave your impressions of the 500. I see the commercials all the time.
Man, seems like forever for you to get that damn FMIC installed!

Me too Monica and hopefully the old saying holds true...good things come to those who wait!

Hopefully the MAP cures the problem because the car literally just turned 20K.

Those MAP sensors can really cause problems.... I'm sure that will take care of the issue.

Funny thing is when the ESC and electronic throttle went bad it put the car into limp mode but then it went away and the perf came back but the CEL remained. It ran strong going to the dealership, oh well, it's being taken care of.

I miss 3 pedals already 😱
