Thinking about trading in the CR-Z for a Fiat 500 Abarth, thoughts?

Well noone has done the pair of matte black with the red chasers on the outside on this car yet but I got the idea from the GT350 Mustang from this year's model.

I think it will look good. I just like seeing things first, but I have faith in your tastes :dblthumb2:

From last November, it's all in the lighting, makes me think a bit😋

Much, much better with the stripe on there, IMO.

Some models look like crap/tacky. Not the above. That is one sharp OEM look.

Thanks Noodle!

It's "kinda" but mine is exactly the same over the car like the one is on the side whereas the OEM has that "strobe effect". Outside the wheels are pure red and the stripe has orange in the red.

Some like it with the stripe while others think it should go. It took me a while to get used to it but the idea of matte black with gloss red thin chasers on just the outside are still in the mix. Either way the black lights might be back in the mid either way now...once again 😋

I'm beginning to think I'm just going to "gut it out" with this current shade of red and then next winter have them powder coated to match the stripes...or have them done in a similar finish to my stock wheels or a little darker.

It's kinda weird because I knew it didn't match when I had the stripes redone but it grew on me and people told me I was being to OCD😋

I guess time will tell!

I know it bothers you Roger, but we all think it looks killer!

Thanks Monica👍

I've made a thread on the Fiat site I'm trying to trade the wheels for a set of European Abarth wheels, check out this pic:

My dream wheels are these, but at $1500 a set, a bit too rich for my blood!

I wouldn't want to have to clean the ones on the red Abarth, o man!
I see your point but with products like DUB and Meg's MB it wouldn't be a problem. I wouldn't be cleaning the barrels but then again I can't swing those unless I was I was being irresponsible 👿

I like the Euro spec wheels. The others would be a nightmare to keep clean!

The price has come down to $1400 on my dream wheels, LOL. I would also like to have the chrome foglight insert that the Euro spec cars have as well. I'm putting my cars future in the hands of fate, if I'm supposed to have the Euro wheels, I'll end up with them.

Really do like this pic though:props:

Here the wheels actually turned orange, LOL!

True DD and I live in Chicagoland, no drop but I would like a slight drop in the rear. When I upgrade the struts and shocks I will look into dropping the rear. Of I could go .5" in the front and 1.0" in the rear I would be all over it.

Stay "tuned" and thanks for the compliment.

I had an Acura TL-S that I lowered about 2 inches. I was nervous about the snow during the few winters I had it. Got lucky that the snow never accumulated enough for any problems. It's definitly something you have to consider.

The previous 2 winters here were record breakers, in both temps and snow, so yeah, it's to be considered without a doubt. That said, I would go no lower than I said no matter where I lived.

Btw, love your old car, any pics you would like to share?
