Wow!rops:
Pleased I stumbled across this one Richy, I never seen this one until now. Darn time differences.
First off - what a great looking truck. I like the look of the Durango, we don't get these down here. That colour is phenomenal & you captured it perfectly Richy. The finish is flawless & the picture of the ceiling fan is still a favourite for me, thats some serious depth & gloss! What else can be said - :urtheman:
Aaryn NZ. :xyxthumbs:
That MOPAR didn't look that good when it first rolled out of the paint booth! Truly exceptional.
[/QUOTE]Richy,
This post inspired me to go out a few weeks ago, clean up the wife's black Crosstrek, and do a 2nd coat of Opti-Gloss.
I had about 50% left in the 10cc tube from the first application back in May. I thought the metallic flake/gloss was good then, but now...
OMG what a difference the 2nd coat made. Thank you, it was worth the effort.
So much more glossy, the pop of the flake is incredible.
Almost can't look at the car in the sun, blinding.
Enjoy your cigars sir.
I do each panel completely (compound/polish/Essence) and then move on. After completing the last panel (RF door), I would have then done an ONR wash and proceeded to start to coat. The minimum time therefore after coating the last panel and applying a coating to it is a minimum of 1 hour (20 minutes to ONR and then coat in the same panel by panel method ending at that door.
Anything special? Does lighting a new cigar count as special?? Other than that, no. Finish one coat, go directly to the second. It took me approx 1.25 hours to coat the first coat and about an hour thereafter for #'s 2 and 3. There was an hour of time between coats minimum therefore. Opti Seal was applied the following day although it could have been applied after that hour wait too. That is the recommended minimum time (1 hour).
Thanks for the feedback, it's really appreciated.
