Had an old Hyundai come in for an interior detail. Upon inspection, I noticed that the dashboard and the plastic trims in the front were hazy and white. Thought it was chalk or some powder at first and tested a spot before giving a customer a quote. Using a cleaner, along with a leather brush, I had brushed a test spot with no avail. This was surely sun damaged, Talked to the owner of the car and he stated overtime, the dashboard discolored. After giving him no guarantees, I decided to go ballsy and use heat to fix the plastic. After a couple of hours just on the dash, along with the use of 303 aerospace, the dashboard came out fantastic. Told the owner to use 303 aerospace to prevent fading and the customer was very happy. Do not use heat to restore plastic without experience. Here are some pictures...

Absolutely stunning results and a wonderful customer reaction i'm sure! THAT'S the kind of thing i love to see from some of you guys and gals. Giving that extra effort to restore something the customer probably didn't expect. That is exactly the sort of effort that helps restore some credibility and contributes positively to this industry.

Thanks for sharing that with us.

Wow that is incredible - I guess I should try 303 Aerospace on my exterior plastics - I have been using Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant

Hey puckman, thanks for your extreme kind words. What sets someone from being good and great is being able to overachieve. I have still many things to learn but customer service is not one of them! Thanks again.

looks like major gassing.

Heat causes major gassing and in the long run, sun damage.

Nice! The owner must have been stunned!

Stunned like a deer looking at a headlight!

303 aerospace, if used right is amazing. Remember some plastic and trims can be different and might react to dressings differently. Sometimes I use 303 aerospace for a matte finish, or sometimes I use other dressings. Overall aerospace 303 is my main dressing that I love.

I wouldn't do it. 303 is great but only for interiors.

Whew!! That dash looked far gone. You worked wonders with it. I, personally, would have given the steering wheel cover a haircut.

wow, I've never seen a dash so bad before! Amazing job restoring it!

I've seen a lot of dashes that look as bad, especially on older Ford trucks. I never knew they could be restored.

Excellent job man.

Out of curiosity what do you mean by "I used heat"? As in hair dryer, heat gun (doubt heat gun but have to ask right)?????

Stunning results. I've been using 303 on my interior since my truck was new off the lot. :)
