Those who have Pinnacle Bodywork Shampoo, question...

Do you have Pinnacle Bodywork Shampoo? I can send you a sample if you want. I'm a little behind getting samples out the door but should be able to have it in the mail Monday. The BOGO on this soap is an excellent buy. Even though I love DG, Pinnacle and Wolfgang will always have a place on my shelf!
You're awesome!! :dblthumb2: I think this is the second time you've offered me a sample??!!! Thanks a bunch!! I actually have a sample of PBS with the order that's on its way. I saw it on bogo, that's why I started this thread. If I like it, which I'm sure I will, I'm jumping on BOGO. I like to have options. :props:

Well CEE DOG has sparked my curiosity, looks like my next order will have Ultima Paint Guard Wash added in. The way it stands my order will consist of:

Ultima Paint Guard Wash
Pinnacle Bodywork Shampoo (bogo)
DG 902 (gallon of 901)
Shampoo+ (excellent sheeting!)
DP Auto Bath (sample)
3M Car Wash Shampoo
Mothers California Gold (sample)

I wish every size of the pinnacle bodyworks was BOGO.

I can't wait to hear your thoughts Richard! I knew if I kept bringing it up an auto shampoo connoisseur such as yourself couldn't resist. Look forward to how it compares to all the others you've been trying.

I think it's 12.99 right now

You crack me up! I've been searching around and that's actually the best price on it that I have found. I'm shocked being the master at product reviews that you haven't given us a review on Ultima's soap!

LOL, you're very kind. It is odd I haven't done reviews on any of the Ultima products I love. I've thought about it a few times. I'm such a fan I might have a hard time being objective. :) I will plan to do a review on one or more of them in the future.

I love Pinnacle Bodywork shampoo but DP Auto Bath is great as well. Pinnacle definitely smells better but they both smell good. DP is tropical fruit smelling.

While in this thread, might I ask you guys what you use to measure your soap? I know that the bottle proportioners don't work and I need something to dispense it in (without eyeballing, I can't eyeball at all). Thanks,

I put my soaps, apc's, etc. into smaller (32oz) bottles I get at Walmart in the tupperware Isle, I think the bottles are sold as water bottles, they are kind of light blue translucent and have handles built into them (they are cheap) then I measure out of those into a small 4oz measuring cup (with big easy to see markings).

Thanks for the info Tad, where did you get the measuring cup? Maybe it's just weird but I have no clue where to find one and can't find one...lol

I just use Dawn dish liquid, it's cheap and it works great.

Yes, I just picked up a small bottle for less than a dollar today.

Everyone gets caught up in these fancy shampoos but fail to realize Dawn has excellent cleaning power.

Yes, it does have excellent cleaning power. And it does have it's place. It's used by many professional detailers to strip waxes/sealants/polishes.

The reason we all buy these expensive shampoos is because they're PH balanced and contain oils to enrich our waxed cars (they don't strip the wax from the paint). Most of us use expensive waxes (fuzion, supernatural, souveran, etc. and even if we don't if we used Dawn to wash our cars every week we'd have to re-wax...every..week. I do love using dawn to strip down my car every three months or so though, it does have some fantastic cleaning power.

Try your local dollar store. I just stopped by looking for a turkey baster to suck all the power steering/brake fluid/clutch fluid etc. etc. out of my car to flush all the fluids.... They had tons of kitchen stuff. Including measuring cups of all sizes. And lets face it, it's cheap :xyxthumbs:

Thanks Richard. Exactly what I wanted to know. :dblthumb2:

I took my hints from AG's web site in deciding on what to use since the bottle's label was not clear. Measuring is easy.

This is what we refer to as a high-yield shampoo. The concentrated formula creates 3-4 gallons of wash water per ounce of shampoo. This eliminates the need to refill the bucket halfway through the wash.

I have used DG, Poorboys, Optimum and they are can be used safely at the in more diluted solutions.

For example, Poorboys says 1/2 oz per gallon or 2 ounces for 5 gallons. Optimum is still very slick and suds great at even 3/4 oz per gallon. Some writeups say 1/2 oz per gallon.

all i use is pinnacle bodywork shampoo :xyxthumbs: its simply the best ! i buy it buy the gallon.last me 2 years..

One ounce per gallon does seem like a lot, but I really don't think absolute precision is necessary with shampoo. IMO, a couple ounces of a good soap, a few gallons of water and a little ONR. It's all good. Every shampoo I've tried has been awesome :dblthumb2:

LOL... Dawn. Dana, if you don't say J/K, people believe you. We need a new font type called "Sarcastica" or "Jokes New Roman" for you. :nomore:
