Those who have Pinnacle Bodywork Shampoo, question...

I use 2 pumps(2oz) for half a 5 gal bucket.
thats fine also . i just prefer a little extra. my trucks huge and i need to blast the bucket a coule times to recharge the foamy bubbles :xyxthumbs:

For example, I just used duragloss 901 for the first time. I added 1 oz per 1 gallom of water as stated on the directions. I used 3 gallons of water. I LOVE this stuff! Lubricity is better than anything I've tried(Megs gold class, optimum car wash, poorboys slick and suds), cleans well, smells great, and leaves a nice shine! It's my new favorite car wash shampoo.

Now, do you all think 1 oz. per 1 gallon of water is overkill even though that's what it states on the directions?

Shoot. I just ordered some PB SSS. I know 901 is a popular soap but a lot of folks seem to like the SSS too. I'll have to compare it to Optimum too.

Dont worry too much about it. I have all three and they are all great shampoos that work equally well. Lubricity and dilutions(1/2oz per gal) are similar so I just use what scent/flavor I'm in the mood for.

Well if they work equally well then I'd be inclined to use the least expensive of the three (DuraGloss). I guess I'll remember that unless something about PB SSS or Optimum blows mymind. :dblthumb2:

Of all the soaps I have used (Wolfgang, Pinnacle, Optimum, Mothers, DG901, PB, 1z Perls), the only strange one was 1z Perls. It is like ONR by the bucket method..minimal suds and you must wipe down the car well since it does leave something behind and does not rinse like other soaps.

Pinnacle seems very much like the Wolfgang (my guess is they are very similar). I use at 1 ounce per 3 gallons but the instructions on the bottle do not match the AG web site.

PB/Optimum have thicker creamier suds so if you use a sponge if you squeeze soap from the sponge it oozes thick suds.

I still have some 1Z Perls from.. oh.. 2005 or so. It's definitely weird in how it's non foaming. It's not a terrible soap though.

Out of Opt, DG, PB which do you prefer?

I like the Optimum the best at the moment but there are not many "bad" soaps. The blueberry smell is nice.

I calculated the cost per mixed soap and Optimum at 1 ounce to the gallon (the bottle listed usage) is not as inexpensive compared to most but it can be diluted more. I have read some running 1/2 oz per gallon.

<homer>OOH BLUEBERRIES!</homer>

I use both optimum and DG902 at 1/2oz per gallon. They are both so concentrated that I've used both at 1/3oz per gallon before and still find it to have plenty of lubricity and suds(though I dont really care for suds.)

I use Pinnacle Bodywork Shampoo at 1oz per 3 gallons. Works great...you could up it and it'd be safe, but I'm perfectly fine with 1oz/3gallons. DP Auto Bath works very similar to Pinnacle but smells like tropical bananas (and I don't like the smell of bananas for some reason...). Pinnacle Bodywork smells absolutely fantastic. I could literally rub it on me before going out on a date..
