Is it hard to remove? I don't want to spend hours polishing the paint only to marr it up trying to remove the wax.

I don't think 915 is any harder to remove than any other paste as long as you don't apply it too thick and let it haze properly.

No, it is not hard to remove at all. I have good luck leaving it to haze for around 30 mins, but only do this if you apply a very thin coat. The next best option is to buff it off immediately after applying it a panel at a time but I have found that this does not get the best out of 915 durability wise.
 
Its pretty hard to remove if you apply it too thick. You'll want to go with super thin layers that you can barely see. Make sure to use a damp applicator as it helps to spread the wax. Allow the wax to setup for 20 minutes and you should be fine.

A little tip for using new waxes you are not familiar with is to practice on one fender first to get a feel for the application and removal. You dont want to wax the entire car only to come back to find problems(psudo holos, too thick, not enough dry time...etc.)
 
No personal experience with the xmt pad conditioner but AG says its compatible with waxes.

If anything you can just water. Just wet the pad and squeeze the excess out.
 
I'm wondering if I should apply it with my Flex 3401 and blue pad? Therefore, I will get a thin, even coat.

you will get a very thin and even coat but you probably will use more product . It's a trade off I guess.

No, I'd recommend applying it by hand, but instead of just using a plain round foam pad, using one of these:

Red UltraSoft CCS Euro Foam Applicator

I find that I dampen one corner of the pad, then work it a little bit, add a bit more product then once the pad is primed, a little goes a LONG way.

You could cover the roof pretty easily with one of these as the foam is so soft, you can squeeze the pad to distribute the wax evenly, and moisten the whole pad. If you feel the pad is becoming a bit dry, you can squeeze the pad to get a bit more wax out of it (since the wax it watery thin once fully shaken).

Also, as has been said before, a slightly damp pad can aid in application. I've used it both ways and wetting the applicator then squeezing it as dry as possible before starting seems to make priming easier.

Use the WOWO method, put a little QD on the pad and apply it thin and it's not bad to get off. Applying with your hands also works well.
 
I put it on by hand and remove with a MF bonnet over a pad on my DA.
Thin coat is your friend.
 
What about spit-shining with 915? I think it would be a great candidate to try it out with, but I don't know enough about the actual technique to go that route yet.
 
Geeez, I didn't know it would be rocket science applying a wax. :laughing:
 
07 DONT feel bad buddy.....i JUST realized my issue with paste wax has been applying it too think! Thinking more is better, and a B*&%^ to get off!

Back to the drawing board....I wish paste waxed were easy to get out of the container so I can better apply it to the polishing pad....:buffing:

I just learned that the hard way, too. I love the 915, but I put it on too thick and it was a bit hard to get off. It also streaked after buffing it off because I put to much. QD got rid of the streaking. These are all user error problems, I'll know exactly what to do next time. :dblthumb2:
