What dilution ratio do u feel gives the best look without being too shiny or too flat?

I really like the look of 1:3. I will alternate between hyper dressing at 1:3 and opti-bond on my dually usually. Just depends on what kind of mood I'm in.

I like 2:1.

Glossy, but not shiny. Not dull and matte though.

2:1 gets my vote for tires.looks clean..detailed..but not bling'd out

Chrome rims 2:1 ... Black rims that are brightly polished 4:1 as the rim will stick out more than the tire

im a fan of a 3:1 dilution. I gives the tires a nice clean black look. Since your looking for a little gloss I would go with a 2:1 dilution.

Actually, I tried both dilutions after I posted this thread, and I like 3:1 the best. Still has a little sheen and not too matte.

Using 2:1 as well, but have used as high as 4:1 and didn't notice too much of a difference.

3:1 for me and I usually give it a light wipe with a dry towel about 10-20 min later too. :xyxthumbs:

For those that are wondering, here's a couple compare shots of HD at 2:1 and 3:1. I still prefer the look of 3:1.

3:1 Left & 2:1 Right

A close up shot shows a noticeable difference between the 2 dilutions, with 2:1 being noticeably more shiny.

From a bit further back, they look closer in shine, but you can still see a bit off the difference.

The hyper dressing really sets off those dope 14's! lol :cruisin:

All I wanna know is which one of you Hyper Dressing users is gonna sample me some? :D

This is the only tire dressing that peaks my interest besides what I currently use (and have been for a couple of years), which is SCG Beyond Black.

Thanks for the pics Mark.

while i really like HD at 3:1 for wells and engines, never really cared for it on tires...
