Those who use OPC as an interior cleaner, question...

Has it ever damaged anything(leather, plastic, etc..)? This is the only APC I would even consider using on interiors.
 
Never had a problem with it or any Optimum products. I do follow dilution recommendations.

Short answer, no. For interior cleaning, try Ultima Interior Shampoo. Cost a little more, but I guaranty you that you will love it Mark. It's more like a liquid foam.:xyxthumbs:

If I remember correctly (from almost a year ago), he used it and was less than impressed.

No damage here with OPC here, Mark.
 
I had a strange issue with OPC on a BMW interior a while ago. It was diluted 1:3 or 1:10, can't exactly remember. Since then, never used it on interiors. One of the leather door panels was completely dis-colored by OPC; the rest were fine. :dunno:

I just remembered Blackfire APC. I used a sample a while back and was very impressed!

To be honest, I get extremely similar results with OPC and BF APC. They smell and look different, but I wonder how different they are.

LOL! However, I've found another "interior cleaner" that I like better than Ultima, and that would be DP Total Interior. Still too expensive, though.

Unless its on bogo.:hungry: Its actually on bogo right now! I like it but I don't care for the banana smell it has.:nomore:
 
I use it 3 or 4:1 on interiors no problem. Plan to drop it down further though in the future. It cleans very well.
 
Generally, interior cleaners are spray on, wipe off. I think OPC is great for many exterior jobs, but I'm reluctant to use it as an interior cleaner because you are supposed to rinse it off to thoroughly remove any residue. How would you rinse your interior surfaces?

Exactly why I'm not fond of using APC's on interiors. However, I think re-wiping with a damp MF would do the trick(plastic, vinyl, leather, etc..). I would definitely not use an APC on non-removable carpet/upholstery, unless I had a pro hot water extractor.

Good idea. I have OPC but I am too "scared" to try it on my G's leather interior. However, after watching "Ihaveacamero"'s video review about it, and watching him use it on his leather, I am feeling a bit more comfortable.

I will probably dilute it at least 3:1 or 10:1(ish) and be sure to wipe the surface with a damp, clean towel before moving on to another part of the car.

Probably read it wrong but FivePoint.0 said "that is the only APC he used on interiors."

Dont know which one he meabt but pretty sure he didnt mean mine.

But thank you clean my corolla I feel a lot better. Lol
 
According to Chemical Guys they told me directly, you just dilute it correctly for interior and then clean and let it air dry.
