Thoughts on cquartz uk 3.0

I have CQUK 3.0 in my possession but won't be using it until July. Letting Sonax run it's course for a year before I use it on my personal car.

I applied the cquk 3.0 today. This stuff flashes extremly fast. I was originally trying to do a quarter hood at a time and waiting 30 sec but it was flashing so fast,i was having a hard time buffing it off. I ended up having to buff it off as soon as it was applied. It was about 65 degrees with 50 percent humidity. FYI, i did have a few high spots on my unforgiving black paint. Eraser leveled it out without problems so i could apply a new coat.

Opinions on CQ U.K. 3.0 vs geyon Pure? I have both in my possession and have a white car to ceramic cost. Which one would you choose and why?

Thanks

Just bought pure and hope to hear your thoughts. My guess is pure may be a bit of a pia to put on but curious to see the differences. I've use 3.0 several times now and enjoy it.

Just bought 3.0 during 4th sale. I used regular UK on my Suburban. Found it best with low 55-60 degree temps but keeping the bottle in my hand to keep warm. If I didn't it would instantly feel grabby. Hopefully the 3.0 solves this. Plan on doing it this fall on my Durango.

Has it been said, or announced if Auto Geek will be getting Gliss?

I noticed the same thing about 3.0 flashing quicker than the previous formula. I applied it in 86 degree weather with a humidity of 35% and I was able to level it out just fine. I just made sure to do enough wipes to remove it and of course lighting. It is not easy coating white or silver paint.

Check out Jeff's how to write up on detailed image. Pure has a quirky application which turned me off from using it as I have it as well. Went with CQUK 3.0 on my personal car instead among other coatings to try on it. CQUK 3.0 is pretty straight forward to apply.

I just got using both versions of CQUK and 3.0 is still tacky upon leveling out. It is easier to level out even though 3.0 flashes faster. A day later CQUK 3.0 does feel slightly slicker than the previous version. I applied it in 86 degree weather in my garage and both actually applied quite well. Humidity was around 35%. TiO2 is still slicker than both.

You may have to source it from somewhere else like I did as much as I like to purchase from Autogeek.

I came from using Cquart UK and found that Geyon Pure is pretty good, I found it easier to wipe off then Cquartz UK as in its not as grabby when I was using it on my personal car however I'm sure weather can change that if its to hot/humid. Based on what others have said here and a friend who has tried Cquartz UK 3.0 it seems to have improved over the normal UK version. Now is it better then or worse then Geyon Pure, im not sure but I suspect they may be similar.

Good to hear. UK 3.0 is definitely easier to wipe off than days past. Still not as easy as some others but it's good. I chose to use Pure on my personal car and will be topping it with their Skin product as I love the hydrophobic property it brings which is light years above coatings alone. Now I just have to find the time, even to do it a few panels at a time.
