Im wondering how long it takes you do do a full detail (inside and out)...but more of a focus on the exterior...

so how long would it take you if your used XMT 360 and then a coat of wax, along with the prep work (ie. wheel cleaning, claying, cleaning the car)

now long would it take if your doing a 2 stage paint correction, then a glaze, then a wax?

im just trying to determine how long it would take to do a full detail...i know at work i can get through an interior in about 1 1/2 - 2 hrs...and it takes about 2 hrs for the exterior but this is a one step paint correction then wax (this is about all the time they give us)...

so how long do you think it will take using the PC?

thanks!

I usualy get a wash and clay done 30-45mins and can get a wax job done in about 1 hour. AIO product would only take about 1-1.5 hours depending on size of vehicle. If you are using 360 u do not need to use a wax after. Rims and tires usually dont take long and an interior with basic wash would be 1 hour.:righton:

REALLY depends on the type of service you offer. I'm not too big on interiors, instead I'm a huge fan on the exterior.

And this has a ton of variables as well. The type of car/truck/suv; paint condition, etc. I am VERY thorough in my work, and I'm not pressed for time. I would say 2-3 hours for the exterior and 30 minutes for the interior (windows, vacuum, dress interior).

Anything past a single polish, is either all or nothing. I don't do "two or three" or more, "stage" paint correction. Either it's one, like 360 or a mild polish; or I break out various polishes and polish all the swirls and paint defects out. Nothing in between for me.

At this stage, for me, 4-5 hours minimum on the paint, up to 10 hours or more (up to two days). I make the decision based on what the customer wants and expects. Sometimes a glaze isn't necessary, or other products. If a customer wanted a "show room", 'literally', I could easily spend a single day, or two to complete the project.

I know for one, when you start your business you're not likely to sell a lot of "full" details because you don't have any customer base, references, etc. So I would focus on the physical aspect and work on as many cars as you can. Unless of course you're charging $80, like some "volume" detailers around my location do..

I can rumble on and on.. I run a very different detailing service, and my times will be longer than others.

I'm guessing you're looking for some sort of "time frame", but nothing is ever set in stone. I just go with the flow. If it takes me 4 hours, then so be it. If it takes 7, then it takes 7.
