Tire Dressing Comparison

Pinnacle, Wolfgang, DP tire gels, you cannot go wrong with either one of them.

:iagree: I've used all three and love them all. I also highly recommend the AA Gel if you want something over the counter. All three have a fantastic shine and great durability.

I really like DP Cleaner gel, ok DP Tire Gel next order! Thanks for posting that.:applause:

Sparkie like what he see's!

Does anyone know if Turtle Wax Wet N Black Gel is still available? I went to a couple different stores and checked online and all they have now is a clear spray with the same title, my gel I have is black. Gives a fairly matte appearance, lasts for weeks even through heavy rains, only downside to it is it doesn't absorb into the rubber and it smears whatever you use if try to clean your tire.

Meguiar's Endurance High Gloss is the best out can get at Pep Boys. IMO. It still is far form Pinnacle though.

Well, I found some Megs Endurance Tire Shine.

I'm currently comparing this to AA Tire Gel.

Before hand, I cleaned tires with Bleache White. Let me say this, I must of had some serious road grime or gel build up from the past, because after a good scrubbing the AA Tire gel had NEVER gone on so smooth.

The Megs Endurance Shine is more of a liquid gel rather than a full gel. It has a tremendous grape scent to it as well:)

I applied the AA Gel with the supplied foam applicator I've always used. Applied Megs gel with an old MF applicator.

First glance it seems the AA Gel is slightly thicker and really glues itself to the tire. Megs really gets absorbed into the tire.
AA Gel Shine: 9 when tire prepped correctly
Megs gel shine: 7.5

Also after letting sit for 35 min, I did a very quick and very light rub of the tire with an old towel to get any excessive gel.

I'll keep you all up to date.

My local PepBoys, Autozone, and Murrays all dont have any Endurance Gel. They all have Hot Shine and Insane Shine.

I'm glad to see so many others having success with AA Tire Gel. I remember when I first posted using it this summer........pure SILENCE! LOL! But know one beat me up. They just went out and tried it and it worked! I love the stuff. When the tire is prepped, it goes on smooth and lasts forever. As for follow up, my bi-weekly client's car's tires clean up with just left over wash water. It takes so little of this product to cover a tire.

One thing, it takes just a little to cover the tire. You will not see a huge gloss, but wait about 2-3 minutes and it will appear. Then, roll the car forward and hit the bottom spots on the tires.

You said it, "When the tire is prepped"! I prepped this tire with DP Wheel Gel cleaner, then top with AA. Deep cleaning goes a long ways.

I gave AA tire gel a shot this summer on an SUV and was very pleased with the product..Spark the tire shot looks great..

This afternoon I tried what Justin does since I have the products. AA Foam as a cleaner and AA Gel as the dressing.

One tire had Megs Insane Shine that was 10 days old or so
Second tire had AA Foam that was 10 days old or so
Third tire had AA Gel that was one day old
Fourth tire had Megs Endurance shine that was one day old

The tires with the Megs insane shine and AA foam previously had AA Gel on them in the months past. There was a little build up of gel on the tires when I inspected them. The two tires with Megs and AA gel were cleaned yesterday.

The AA foam was applied to all tires, and let sit for maybe 1 minute. Pulled out an old scrub brush and just lightly scrubbed off. The fresh gels that were one day old basically desolved with the foam, while the two tire with built up gel peeled right off with the foam. I wiped clean with an old bath towel.

After the tired were wiped clean, they had a wonderful solid clean look to them with a slight gloss from the foam that was absorbed by the tire. The tires were silky smooth.

I then applied AA Gel to all four tires. Went on like butter.

Pics are of tires cleaned with AA Foam and then AA Gel as a final dressing.

So glad you got the same results as me!
Those look amazing! The good thing about the foam is that you can put it on while the tire is still wet and it still cleans. Same for the wheel wells. I've also done running boards and rubber matted floor boards in work trucks.

Looks soooo clean.

It worked very similiar to Bleach White to me, however the AA Foam is much more safe, and also left a nice gloss for a base for the gel.

Justin, do you notice the foam cleans better if it sits on the tires longer? I only let it sit for 1 min, because I didn't want all of the foam to be absorbed when I scrubbed.

I have not noticed any huge difference in cleaning while leaving it on longer. It just dries harder and shinier. Then it's more of a tire LSP than a cleaner/base.

Yea, I love using it as a base/cleaner. I just ran outside to see how it looked again. DAMN! I think I just found my combo. No sense in trying anything else!

The gel's been curing on the tire for about 2 1/2 hours now. I rubbed my finger on the tire and the tire really really absorbed the gel very nicely. It's like an epoxy on the tire, it's GREAT! I'm excited to see if I get any extra durability out of it now with it being prepped very well.

Wonder what would happen if you topped it with the foam?

LOL!

We are some sick folks.....but I still wonder!

Probably wouldn't do much for the shine is my guess. My add like a protective barrier to the Gel, so even added endurance. Maybe I'll go out and add a layer to one of the tires. lol
