Tire Dressing Comparison

hey guys, the aa foam you are talking about is the armor all tire foam, right? you use that to prep instead of just to shine - right? i mean it is the stuff that is intended to e sprayed on the tire and left, right? because i will be doing my tires tomorrow, but i only bought aa gel. just clarifying...??? thanks!Lauren

Yep pretty much. The AA foam is labeled as a cleaner/dressing all in one. I like to use it as a cleaner, wipe off, leaving the extra as a base for a higher shine, longer lasting gel

You can use the gell it you wish Lauren (my daughter's name!).
Your tire are probably just fine. If you wish though, to add durability and depth to a tire, then get the foam. Spray it on a dry dirty tire or a clean wet one. Let sit for a few minutes and wipe the remaining foam off. You'll be amazed of what this foam pulls out of even a scrubbed clean tire! Now you will have an awesome prepped tire surface. Think of this as paint. You can use a cleaner/wax and do an OK job. Or you can polish then wax for the ultimate finish!

As with paint, rubber and tire protecting is all in the prep.

Follow up with AA Foam as prepping and AA Gel as finished dressing.

It's been 7 days since I applied this combo. Since then the car has been driven daily, driven in rain once, driven in snow slushed roads for 30 minutes, and a 150 mile highway road trip.

Here is how the combo is holding up:

Justin, never thought of that, in that aspect. Good analysis.

I'm really liking it so far we'll see if it slings or collects dirt/grim and how long it last. I will reapply another coat tommorrow.

LOOKS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!! Be sure to give us a report so we can all buy it too!
The AA gel I am using is ok; it is better than the sprays, but not quite as good as the impression I had been given. I don't drive much either.

After an hour of sitting I left for work and zero sling and dry to the touch. I will reapply tommorow morning not because I need to (still jet black) becuase I wanna lol. Will definatly(sp?) keep folks updated...

I love Wolfgang tire gel myself.

I use Armor All Extreme Gel. It lasts longer than the car being clean. You can also use it on black trim with great results!
