Wanted to get everyones ideas on tire products that they know about or use etc. also feel free to include other's in your post that aren't in the polls. Suprisingly I've heard good things about the newer Armor All stuff I guess after they switched formulas. Seems their gel is cheap, last long, looks good, and drys to the touch so no sling.

I.E. here's what I use:
Meg's Insane Tire Shine
Likes - very shiny look (good on a white suv), can itself seems to last quite a while
Dislikes - aerosol spray delivery, durability so/so but finally checked the tires after all the rain and they still kinda look like matte black but lost the glossy coating (looked like a sealant was on the tires)

I'm really interested in Meg's High Gloss Endurance Gel, but am split as I hear from some that it's messy and ruins towels after you use it, but from others they say it's simple and easy etc. I'm look for something that has good durability (won't really wash away in rain), easy to use and not messy, looks very nice etc.

Pb's BnB is Insane. Its not greasy when it dries and the more coats the better the shine. Even one application is great.

Bright Gels --- Pinnacle, Wolfgang, and DP
Bright liquids --- Poorboys Bright and Bold
Bright Aerosol --- Stoners More Shine Less Time

Matte --- Optimum, 303, Poorboys Natural Look

My most used dressings are Zaino Z16, Adam's VRT, and Meguiar's Natural Shine.

I voted for Mothers FX Tire shine, but I use Mothers Reflections which is just a natural matte version of the FX Tire Shine. It is an easy to apply liquid that smells great. It has very good durability, especially for being a liquid. And for me I really dig the natural matte appearance of Mothers Reflections Tire Care.

I use meg's endurace matte formula. I went to autozone and bought one of those foam applicator blocks with a plastic handle. I only use it for meg's endurance so I don't worry about getting anything dirty. Apply it thin, and make sure you get everywhere on the tire, and you'll be good to go.

How is it for attracting dirt etc? Heard from a few others that it attracting a bunch of crap, but everyone else said it didn't lol??? How is the Matte Finish compared to High Gloss? I'm just worried about the high gloss being purple and people saying it ruins towels etc.

well, ive never used the high gloss version, so i really can't say anything about that one...

I know this is bad for me to admit, but i don't buff off the excess product after I apply. Then again, I apply very thin (6 drops do the entire tire) so there isnt much leftover anyways. Even with not buffing, i haven't had problems with it attracting anything, just you're normal buildup that you'd see anyways. Besides, your tires are black, who cares if something gets on them :s

Another vote for Poorboys B&B lasts for weeks and it's only a quick spray to top it up no messing with towels and applicators:)

How is Bold and Bright for durability in rain, don't water-based dressings wash away easily? Also I heard that even if you a good cleaning, if you used dressings with silicone before then waterbased one stick or something to that effect?

I have no problem with durability and we get alot of rain over here, it will fade slightly over a couple of weeks but you can see it's still there. Also it's so easy to apply after washing the car just spray around the tyres also it doesn't flick up the paintwork if you drive straight away.
I've got Megs endurance and find it to messy.
I've also tried Megs hot shine, Pinnacle BOTG, Megs #38 and numerous others B&B for me at the moment:awesome:

I mix Megs. Endurance High Gloss with Hot shine in a 32 oz. spray bottle. This way I can easily spray the megs. gel and the hot shine gives it a little bit higher gloss, and the gel helps it last longer.

I have both of the Endurance gels, matte and the high shine. Great! I
also like to experiment. I bought the new Armor All Gel. Did not care much
for it as it was a dust magnet. I live in the country and have a gravel drive.
I also have Eagleone Tire Shine. Like it a lot. Last thru rain and has a unique
look. Not oily but new rubber look. You have to see it to know. Meguairs Hot
Shine. Good stuff. A little oily looking but it last too. I want to try PB B&B
as there are raves about it as a water based dressing. Would also like to
try the Pinnacle and Wolfgang gels. I will at some point just to say I did.

I use Mother's FX Tire shine - nice shine (although not excessive) which I prefer...water-based...and dust/dirt does not stick.

I find Meguiar's hot shine spray very glossy, but it doesn't last for more than a few days. I have the Meguiar's endurance gel, and it is way better than the hot shine, but for some reason, it takes a LOT of effort to get it out of the bottle. Anyone else have this problem? Do other products just blow away Meguiar's Endurance gel (glossy version) in terms of high gloss and long lasting? I don't have too much experience with other products... so.. would like to hear your opinions.

Typically a water based dressing is not going to hold up to alot of rain and puddles, however it will not turn the tires brown either. (thats what silicones do)

I really really like Meg's Endurance, "normal" gloss formula. It lasted through a week's worth of torrential rain, and two car washes, so far (two+ weeks). It smells really good (grape kool aid). Super easy to apply with an applicator (I use the EAgle tire applicators --- basically curved foam pad with a harder foam backing for you to hold on to). I used to just use Vinlyx-type products, and they would last maybe 3-4 days. I never really liked the high gloss tire products.

:iagree: I think people who have a problem with the Megs High Endurance are probably putting it on too thick or with a different type of applicator. I've been using the Megs Endurance for at least four years and I love it. It outlasts anything else I've tried and I love the high gloss version. I've never had a problem with it attracting dirt, turning my tires brown, or slinging.

Since you use the High Gloss version (which I'm interested in) how do you apply it, with a foam swipe etc? And I heard other's talking about buffing it or something with a towel but that once you do that the towel is basically ruined stained dark purple? Do you just apply one thin layer, or two?

So how do you apply/buff or whatever it lw/o being messy lol? I've seen the look and really like it, I use Meg's Insane Shine spray right now.
