So sorry to hear that you and your family have to go through this.

It's been about four years since my father was diagnosed with a brain tumor, about three years since he passed. It was a bit of a wild time. We knew something was up, but could not force him into the hospital. He started getting lost everywhere and could not find his house. We thought he might of had a stroke and knew it was better to get him to a doctor ASAP. I forget how we finally tricked him into going, but we did and they found a large tumor in his brain. They removed what they could and my wife a I looked after him for several months until he got to the point he needed more care then we could provide. He was like looking after a defiant teenage kid and was constantly fighting us. That mixed with delusions and hallucinations. It's so hard to watch someone you love slowly deteriorate and not be able to do much for them.

Best of luck to you and your family!
sorry for your loss.

Sorry to read this. My prayers go out to you; your family and everyone close to you.

Really sorry your family is going through this. My thoughts and prayers will be with you.

Guys... all of you... I'm at a loss for words. (And anyone that's read my diatribes knows how often that is.) ;)

Y'all don't know what it means to us to see all the kind words, thoughts, and prayers.

Managed to get enough time home last night to put in a new microwave over the stove. Everywhere we turn it's something lately.

Bob... took a photo of that one and sent it to mama just now. Well done brother. :props:

I hate you had to go through that my friend. Wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Yeah... it's the fact that there is the mass in the brain that has all the doctors hopping.

Nana hasn't been herself for a while now, although she's leveled out, and is able to take care of herself, cook, clean, etc. (Now that we've got a steady regimen of meds.) But she has absolutely NO short term memory, zero, zip, nada. Which is why we took HER keys two years ago.

When it hit (cancer) my dad... it really hit hard, (was right before his 92nd birthday) and not 8 months later it was all over. Just watching him fade into a shell of himself was (and still is) the hardest thing I've ever done. (He lived with us from when he was 89~92.)

For now... Papa Fred knows what's going on, and knows that we're starting radiation Monday. It's just the instability problems walking, standing, even getting dressed that have come on HARD, that have us all scratching our heads. The PT team has been working with him twice a day (think he's liking 3 pretty girls giving him all that attention) and they are VERY CONCERNED about his ability to function when they finally release him to go home.

Oh well... we'll have the house ready, rails, handles, seats, even a stair lift chair... as well as people there to help by then, you can count on it.

Prayers for ya man. Lost my uncle to a brain tumor :/

It's outta' the blue, that's for sure! :(

Funny thing is... he's been seeing an oncologist for almost a year now. She's been treating him for a lymphatic blood disorder, even did a bone marrow test about a month ago. She was TOTALLY surprised by this! Said nothing like this has shown up in any tests. :dunno:

Well you already know y'all are in my prayers. I'm so sorry y'all are going through this.

Dave, Tim... my brothers from another mother.

Wish I could sit I the shop with ya' Tim and just let um' fly out the back door!
Yeah buddy, that'd help for sure.
Maybe we could figure out those banana clips for our 10/22's. ;)
You know my 10/22 I'd told you was my first rifle. It was actually a gift from my girlfriend when we were dating. Now my wife! :D

Annnnnnnnndddddd if all this wasn't enough.
Nana just called, and the washing machine is backing up... water in the friggin' floor downstairs!

Never mind the fact that I found out from St. Farm that the driver of the Porsche has hired an attorney! I mean SERIOUSLY? He freaking drove away!!! (And his passenger now says *they* are 'injured'. Plus the driver of the other Nissan is now claiming injury as well.)

Our daughter was a case manager for an injury lawyer. Those folks are going to have a hard time after the fact, being as they didn't claim ANY injury at the scene, refused any treatment, and all drove away.

Again... thanks all for the prayers and kind wishes.
I'll pop in when things get settled down for an update.

I'm so sorry Tony. You're entire family will definitely be in my thoughts and prayers.
