What about substituting D151 for D301? That's one I haven't tried....

how about using Colonite 845 Insulator wax instead of D301
for you guys that use 205 after 300, do you use 205 on the finishing pads or do you use foam pads?
anyone try 151 on a finishing pad instead of 301?
I used the MF finishing pad. I suppose a LC white/green/gray or HT tangerine/crimson pad would certainly be an interesting alternative. Least aggressive pad that eliminates any haze from 300
I use Meguiars Ultimate Liquid Wax after the D301, it darkens the black paint up and makes it look super deep and wet.
I think he's saying he'll use 301, then do an IPA wipedown after to remove it's protection properties and leave bare paint for another sealant.
any problems with ULW streaking? heard a lot of those issues over at MOL
I'm actually glad you brought it up, because ULW definitely takes more effort to remove than most other liquid waxes. You're correct about the streaking. When you go to wipe off the ULW, you'll see a day and night difference, but it will have some streaking.
I usually take the microfiber cloth and just apply heavier pressure to the streaked area, which should be fine anyways since there's a fresh coat of D301 underneath it. The streaking can be annoying not only because it's difficult to remove, but also because it's hard to see if not under direct sunlight.
With that said, I will still continue to use ULW after D301, there is simply not another wax that can produce the same results in such little time.
