I agree completely. If you can buy American then why not support your own!! :props:

$40 for a gallon seems rediculously high for a APC! the apc i use now is less than $9 per gallon.

I hear you, BUT, its the ONLY APC that will touch the paint on expensive cars that I maintain. For cleaning tires and wheel well's I also use a 12 dollar a gallon APC.

3:1 is a fantastic ratio. Its totally safe on leather, unfinished metals and leather, and any automotive surface at full strength as well. It will also safely clean your wheel's of brake dust better than that 100 dollar gallon of wheel gel cleaner.

Spray it on bugs and it litterally MELTS them away.

With OPC your paying for a product that is superior and SAFE everywhere. Considering how reasonably priced OPT products are compared to the rest of the market, when you see the 35 dollar price tag on the OPC, you will realize its for a reason. Its far superior to a traditional APC. because technically its makeup is not what we would usually categorize it as an APC, its versatility just add's it to the group of what we know as APC's.

While there are other safe and effective APC's on the market, none of them are as versatile imo.

spray your traditional APC on paint in the sun and make a mistake and you will wind up with etched paint. Hell, do everything correctly and it still dulls the paint. also spray it on uncoated metal and make a mistake and tell me how stained it is when all is said and done. Oh, also use it on some fragile leather and see what could potentially happen.

Well put. I used to use a cheaper APC on tires and arches, but for piece of mind and top performance I have switched to Power Clean completely. I totally understand thats not an option for everyone, but it is so effective and safe at 3:1 I think the price point is still profitable for me.

I did 2:1 for the entire car, and it cleaned the wheel and tires that were destroyed with brake dust and mud
Even at 2:1?! Impressive! With heavy brake dust, I always use it straight.

YOU SOUND LIKE ME!!!

The only difference, I don't use a cheaper APC on tires and wells, I use OPC. :)

Oil eater FTW! 20:1 ratio for coated wheels and tires and it kicks a55. 7:1 cleans the filthiest engine with ease. for $7 you cant go wrong. none of the above is a reason to switch to OPC. unless it deodorizes, that would be cool

I used it on baked on bugs and it didn't melt them away. I still had to work with the bug sponge... but of course it helped a lot more than the car wash soap.

I'm a big fan of OPC but just thought it important I added my experience as well since it differs from others on the bug aspect.

Edit: that was 3:1 on the bugs that I used.

I recently used OPC at about 2:1 for the first time to wash a stubborn polish stain off one of my wiper arms (forgot to tape them...) and i wasnt expecting my brush to turn black... The stain didn't stand a chance and my wipers look great! lol

I live in the Northeast and for the bugs up here, it melts them away. Once hit with a sharp stream , the rest of the stubborn guts are washed away without touching them with a sponge.

Being that your down in Florida might be the difference. The bugs down there are like cats and dogs getting smashed on the nose of a vehicle. lol. :)

I am currently contemplating taking the OPC plunge... I just have a gallon of ARO to use up first.. and APC... APC+... Bugs b gone... Zep Citrus... then maybe I will give it a shot as a replacement to the ARO APC and bugs b gone... I will keep the APC+ aroudn to compliment Folex for interiors... Unless someone can aim me towards something that will blow my mind when it comes to interior fabrics

I had a Jug of APC+ that i mixed 7:1 and 4:1 for some cleaning; but before I got actually cleaning my car on a sale I purchased OPC also.

3:1 OPC with horse hair brush for agitation and short few sec dwell time did this to my leather seats that hasn't been taken care of in years

Yes OPC is amazing and I'll be getting more

So it does work well on wheels and tires too?

Bobby, sorry for the late reply...

I have had great results with OPC on wheels and tires. For 'light duty' cleaning on tires I still use Meguiars APC+ because it is more cost effective. On anything 'dirty', I go straight to OPC because it is sooo much faster and produces better results than cleaning the tire 5x's with APC+.

Also, I had a buddy use OPC on uncoated wheels and it did not stain them, it cleaned them beautifully.

Well said!

I use a dedicated carpet cleaner vs APC+, have gotten better/fast results doing so. I have been using APC+ for years and yes it is a good product, but I got twice the results in half the time using OPC on the leather, doors, and dash.

What is the dilution you've been using for interior, specifically the leather? Thanks!

For bugs, do you also use 3:1 dilution ratio?

Also, if you were cleaning the leather on a more delicate leather such as an Audi nappa leather, is 3:1 too strong?

I'm using 10:1 on Leather/Interiors.

More than happy with this product.
