The owner of this GTi, Johan ( forum name - Vdub75 ), phoned me to book his car for a full detail aswell as covering the headlights with Lamin-X for protection against stonechips. Johan told me over the phone that the car was full off tree sap, and also covered in tar in specific panels on the car. When the car was dropped off at my place on Thursday evening, I noticed that the tree sap was quite bad and had made it's way onto the roof, windows, bonnet and some places even onto the top parts of the doors :fear:
Upon arrival the car wasn't looking too bad me thinks, except for the wheel barrels that was very dirty

I started off by cleaning the Interior, followed by the engine bay, wheels and wheel arches. After that I washed and dried the car, decontaminated the paint which took me a while to get rid of all the tree sap. It was getting late and I didn't want to start correction and then have to carry on the next morning so I decided to Lamin-X the lights late Friday afternoon. Saturday morning I started with a wash and dry and then came time for correction. I did not manage to get any pics of the correction, but the paint was in a good nick with minimal swirls and some marring here and there from the medium claybar I had used to decontaminate. I opted for PF2500 on Cyclo orange pads to correct the paint.

My LSP of choice was Menzerna PowerLock. I cleaned all the windows, dressed all the trims, engine bay and tires and then took the car out for a few snaps
