Turtle Wax Seal and Shine

I used Seal N Shine for the first time yesterday all over my entire vehicle, both paint & glass, and was impressed at the gloss & slickness. But, when I went for a drive later, I noticed thousands, if not, tens of thousands of little dots of product all over my windshield. I used one 350gsm towel to apply the product, then followed-up with a dry towel to wipe-in/wipe-off. I don't know if I over-applied the product, or what? Before applying the TW, I did wash the van in Reset, mixed with APC, but I though that I had rinsed the vehicle pretty well.
I won't blame the product just yet.

Ummm, overspray mist you missed

Well, people at PBMG are not idiots.
If people like a product because it
performs well, it is in their interest
to carry it in their stores.

TW used to have only crappy products.
Now that they have top quality ones, it
would make sense for Autogeek to carry
it as detailers and enthousiasts will start
buying it. If the product is not available
here, they will buy somewhere else...
why loose a sale?

It created high spots, so I had to polish
them off and re-coat. Thankfully, it was
a repair job on a coating, so only 2 pannels
had to be re-done. If I had done an entire
car I would have been really pissed ;)
Surely you haven’t forgotten that
all of the bathtubs on the ’Titanic’
are still full of water...

To me, it didn't appear to be over-spray. The droplets were in the thousands and the pattern was very uniform across the entire windshield, from corner to corner. On application, I sprayed the TW on the windshield, wiped it with a main cloth, then used another dry towel to buff the surface.

I will try this again to see if I get similar results.

I meant the product got in the air after you wiped the windshield, like maybe a door or quarter panel

My Update:

It's been almost a month since I applied the ICE Seal N Shine to the Camaro. Since then it has been rained on (seemingly endlessly), driven in the rain, minor bird droppings etc. All I have done since applying it is to use the ICE Spray Detailer to get rid of a few stubborn streaks a few days after application and a weekly wash with Meguiar's Hyperwash.
I washed it again this morning and I WAS going to reapply the SNS, just because, but I ended up not reapplying it ....
The water beading is still very strong (during the rinse), even on the sides behind the tires where the spray hits while driving, it's like the stuff is unaffected by the constant spray. "Flood" rinsing the car leaves it almost completely dry, which means less wiping and less wringing of the drying microfiber.
The 'look' is still there, highly glossy and reflective (I know, that has more to do with the prep than the LSP), but the water beading is still so strong that I didn't even bother to give it a booster application - "just to keep it at 100%."
I ended up buying out my Walmart I'm so impressed with this stuff.

I did the windshield last. Maybe I didn't rinse the apc & Reset well enough and there was some sort of a reaction.
???

From what I see with TWSS is that it looksa little better after the first wash

Apex Detail just reviewed a number of detailers, TW's almost won but was beat out by another OTC product, apparently these big companies are getting their heads out of their arse and making really good products

Is that product that won a secret?

It was an alright video. I skipped a lot of it and stopped as soon as he started to use the hose. He needs a better hose nozzle. It is hindering the true view of any product and doesn't give a true representation in my opinion.

Looking forward to seeing the water behavior today as we've had some massive downpours but knowing my luck the sun will come out and dry it up, LOL.

This entire ICE line of surface products, quick detailer, spray wax and spray seal is really raising some elbrows

FWIW:
I’ve been recommending The Turtle’s ICE
line-up of products since at least May 2012.

[I’ve also had my chops busted a few
times along the way for doing so...]

•Either one of these detail-sprays
used with a soft MF towel.

-Neither product will leave any white,
chalky residue.

Hood poliShed in May. No LSP was added (going to wrap). n-914, nanoskin fine sponge with Speed shine as lube, Eraser,

I found SNS REALLY hard to remove. 4 sprays on Autofiber applicator and covered half the hood. Wiped with 365 gsm TRC. Buffed with 800gsm Everest.

Did second coat 1.45 hours later and found 1st coat hadn’t dried. Buffed off but still streaking. Weather was 65 degrees. Will let sit another hour and re wipe. Second coat was 2 sprays.

PA Cosmic. Application has dry feeling. Sticky. Wiped of one towel (Everest) buffed off easy. 4 sprays 1st coat 4 sprays second coat.

Let’s see what happens.

Just curious:
All these “issues”—yet adhering
to the product’s instructions?
