Yesterday I was over my friend house to work on two s2k. When I got there and inspected the car, it was very dirty from all the snow and salt. They told me the last time they washed it was in November.

I started by doing a power wash to remove most of the salt/grime. I first started with the wheels and well with Meg super degreaser. Then did traditional Meg Go Gold Class two bucket wash with grit guard. Used 303 on the soft top. After the wash I used leaf blower to get all the water out of crevices.

Then I brought the car inside and and started claying the car. Since the car last clayed was in November, the white showed a lot of grim. It took me about 1.5-2 hours to clay the car using DP clay. When finishing claying the car was free from any grime, It was very clean and the surface was smooth. I then started to apply 845 on the car and lens.

Some before pics.

Then did another friend car with the same method as before. This was a silver s2k.
I also helped him remove some scratches.

That ah boy!!! Really nice job man. I'm glad you got the scratch removal down. Adds a LOT to the "wow factor" when you take out scratches like that. Hope you start getting some good paying customers come your way. Good luck!! :dblthumb2::props:

Looks great man. I hope you are able to start getting some more work. S2000's are great looking cars, I bet your friends were happy.

Keep up the hard work and quality work and Im sure you will begin to get more clients.

Very nice jobs on the S2Ks! Keep up that amount of quality to your work and the clients will start rolling in. The best form of advertisement is word of mouth.

Thanks Kris, been practicing a lot with scratch removal because many of the times it an eye sore. I charged my friend a very low price in return they going post a write up and pics of my work.

Great job on S2000s! Can't wait to clay mine.

If your area snowed, your in for a treat! It took me about 2 hours claying with DP. There were so many grime stuck on the car. I made sure all contaminant were removed on all panels. Clayed each panel 2-3 times because with white cars you can see everything.

Thanks LuxuryMobile, I really hope words do get around and I can afford to not have a 9-5 and just do detail work. They were both stunned by how the finish was.

Thanks reality33. This was my first time detailing an S2K and it fun. They know people who may be interest in detailing so I hope their word of mouth can help me out. When I woke up today my whole body was sore lol.

nice job bro!

Thanks c5z06! Started around 11am and ended at 9pm, it was a long day.

Nice job! I have a couple friends with s2000's too, and hopefully they will let me do their cars. For the scratches, i saw that you sanded it down a little. What grit paper did you use? My girlfriend's car has deep scratches like that and I want to be able to get rid of them.

Nice work Slick!! Cars look great!! In that one picture you look like you were talking to the red AG HD applicator pad. lol...

Was the white S2K single stage paint? It looked like there was white on the sand paper. I've done some Toyotas that were single stage white paint.
