PRODUCT: ultima interior guard plus.

SUBJECT: 2010 GMC CANYON.

PROS: application is easy. interior is protected for 3 plus months. saving money by not using a regular protectant every 2-3 weeks. seals all vinyl and plastic surfaces. may be used on carpets and cloth material.

CONS: none

REVIEW AND APPLICATION: my UIGP arrived from autopia in perfect condition. included was one foam applicator pad, one MF towel and one terry cloth applicator. the 4oz bottle is slim and a deep blue color. the product is clear and has a scent of leather. after reviewing the instructions i used the foam pad for application. your interior must be clean! any dirty surfaces will also be sealed in if not cleaned prior to application! it is safe to apply over a product already applied to your plastic/vinyl. my current interior product is DP interior surface protectant. after i made sure all surfaces were clean, i primed the pad with two pumps of the UIGP. i was a bit leary of this product, being a new truck, but UIGP put my mind at ease after i started to apply it. i used straight strokes and applied it to all plastic and vinyl surfaces in the truck. key is to use very little product! just a few more sprays to complete my task. i was greeted with a even, clean looking application! very slight sheen. not greasy or shiney. perfect! DO NOT WIPE THE UIGP after applying. let it do its magic. it will be cross linked in 12 hours. dry to the touch in 15 min. safe to drive in a few hours. application took place in complete shade with about a 45 degree outside temp. i did not do my carpet. but i did do the material on the door panels. for carpet and material you spray on UIGP directly to the surface. let sit for a little, then wipe with towel. now all that remains is to see how UIGP protects. this is my first ultima product. and i was very impressed. if your looking for something different to try on your interior, give UIGP a try. a safe sealant for your interior!

Nice review GMC! Thank you for sharing with us. This is my favorite interior product.

I am glad you liked it. I purchased some near Christmas. When the weather breaks I will be using it. Hopefully soon (in the 60's today).

Most people seem to love UIGP, but it didn't work well on my interior panels. It applied sloptchy.

Nice review! I really like UIGP. I especially like it on my leather seats that are ventilated because it applies so thinly and doesn't clog the holes! Leaves a really nice finish on leather and the follow up cleanings are a breeze! On dashes it does't hold onto dust like some other products!

after it sets up, i have to admit it appears to be a great product! i touched up any missed spots friday morning. you can really feel it in on the leather steering wheel. the whole interior never looked better! a question i did have, i wonder if its safe for the clear plastic on the gauge faces and radio? i did not apply to those surfaces.
