Ultima interior shampoo gel

there is nothing better than Ultima Interior shampoo. Its PH 7 and incredibly safe on everything. you can spray it on without issue or wipe it on. does not require rinsing, and will never shock and stain old worn out vinly/leather interiors like an APC *can*.

all the other comparable product dont compete IME.

Ive tried

DP interior cleaner (even if it worked it smells so strong and I hate bannanas)
Blackfire interior cleaner (not PH Nuetral, PH- 9, not sure if that matters to some, but still not even close as effective as Ultima)
Pinnacle interior cleaner - nice product, not even close to Ultima though

you can name basically any other no rinse interior cleaner and I would bet it cant stand up against Ultima. The crazy thing is how you can spray it on and just wipe up with a towel and remove some serious gunk from leather seats. minimal agitation.

I agree Ultima products work very well but they can be quite expensive to use.

Have you tried Sonus All In One APC? It is made by same company as Ultima and sold in Concentrate and can be diluted to 1:30 for general cleaning. Sonus APC can also be used on carpet, exterior degreasing and remove bug and tar.

Here are some videos about Sonus on Youtube:

I use it myself and I would recommend this product to others.

This is a good product, but its an APC. not a no rinse interior cleaner. Also Sonus does not mention leather cleaning with this product although i'm sure its safe at the right dilution. (this probably because they sell a dedicated leather cleaner, which works very well and is very safe)

As you can see i'm a huge fan of basically all of the Premium Finish Care in house brands. (as well as the products they make for bascially everybody at this time) :) At this point i'm pretty sure I could use what PFC makes for 90% of my detailing chemicals. I truly think they make the best of anything they do (besides wheel cleaners).

So you guys who love the UISG, can it be used in a tornador as well? As you can tell I'm trying to find the best cleaner/detailer for a tornador ha

I agree, Mike.

How does Sonus compare to Megs APC+ at 10 to 1? I usually Megs APC+ 10 to 1, but UISG did a better job and left the seats feeling soft and supple. I also heard good things about OPC at 3 to 1.

I am happy with Megs APC+ but it leaves the interior sticky where as UISG leaves a great soft natrually fresh feeling; no pun intended...............lol

I mainly use Sonus APC for light duty interior cleaning and leather cleaning. I have used Sonus at 1:30 for uncoated or dried out leather. It works great at cleaning without being too harsh. No stain or damage have been found even on uncoated leather. Spray on MF/applicator, wipe off by another MF, leave a clean feeling to leather, no sticky touch.

If you have the chance to read the back of the bottle, it says 1:30 for general cleaning or use on leather, 1:20 for medium, 1:10 for heavy degreasing. So I would say the best thing of Sonus APC is versatile and good dilution ratio.

BTW,
Meguiar's APC+ has degreaser ingredients in it and I think it's more suitable for exterior use. For leather or fabric, APC (the green one, without Plus) is more suitable. APC contains fabric softener and brightening agent to leave soft surface looking clean and softer to touch after use.

For I just added 1% to volume of fabric softener to my Sonus APC 1:30. I have yet to try how it work on leather later. I think it wont harm to try.

I got 3 gallons from my 16ox Sonus bottle, very good stuff!

Have you ever tried their Leather Cleaner? I haven't found any reviews yet..

Thanks.

Great idea, but is magic eraser too aggressive for leather? Ever have any problems damaging a seat?

No I have never had a problem with it and don't intend to either. However I don't scrub the whole seats down with it or anything. It works very well and stubborn spots on plastic and leather. For example, marks from pens and sharpies, etc. Also on the black marks along the door sill's from peoples shoes. It also appeals to me by leaving one less "smell" in the car that I am detailing. If I am doing a wipe down on an interior instead of a full detail on one. I can clean the dash, vacuum it out, and pull out the magic eraser and 10 minutes later there arent any scuff's or stains in the common areas we all have to deal with. My clients love how clean the interior is even with my basic service. I can credit alot of that to how easy and fast the magic eraser is without using any chemicals.

HD Total from High Definition Car Care is another great no rinse interior cleaner. It doesn't clean quite as deeply as OPC but what else can? However it is material safe and it leaves a nice residue-free finish

I heard they discontinued it?

Aw man you're right. They must've just discontinued it because it was still up not too long ago. Unfortunately now I have to find something else to replace it with when my supply runs out.

Thanx for all the info. I think I am going to stick with UISG and maybe try OPC for a less expensive alternative.
