:iagree: I can't imagine the paint was all that soft if SIP was used as a finishing step. I've used SIP to finish on some paints on the softer side, but with the ultra soft paints, I've always finished with something finer like 106fa or 85rd.

Only the hood was corrected with a rotary because it had some very deep scratches. Everything else was done with a DA.

Soft paint can be a challenge. It will test your skills for sure. Here is another Porsche turbo we did a few weeks ago. When shined up proper they sure look sweet!!
This picture needs to be an advertisement for you....the car with your van in the background.....the cloud and the sun reflecting off the hood is awesome :xyxthumbs:

105 isn't necessarily the "most aggressive" I have actually used it as a fine polish many times. Think of it as very small very hard particles. More rubbing in, more cut, less rubbing in, less cut.

That's where the SMAT products throw a monkey wrench into the old practice,
"Use the least aggressive product to get the job done"
Because with SMAT you can start out with a very aggressive product but just don't work it hard or for a long time and still finish out like you were using a less aggressive product with no difference in the amount of paint you remove.

Good product, been around a long time. Light cleaning ability which makes it great for maintaining daily drivers but also leaves a very clear and very slick finish plus it dries fast and wipes off very easy.

I love these cars!! We recently polished another!! It only has 149 miles on it.
A little bit of Rupes...
A little bit of G110.....
A little air tool for the small and hard to reach areas....
And because the engineers at Porsche thought they needed this tail, a little polishing by hand...
