Undeniably the Most Interesting Project I've Ever Worked On!

I just can't find the words to describe how incredible that turned out......phenomenal comes close. Not to mention that took real guts to sail into uncharted territory. (Sorry, I couldn't help it)

Your work is not only outstanding, but your reviews / write ups are equally good.
Thanks kindly. I had put a lot of thought into how I was going to write this up. To my knowledge, nobody had polished and coated varnish before, so I wanted to be as informative as possible and I also wanted to share my thought process going through this project. I'm glad that you enjoyed reading it. It was a fascinating journey and I wanted the reader to live it with me.

Very nice, Richy. I'm going to post a link to this thread on another forum.
Thanks Bill...for both!

Looks awesome!

Well done, looks great!
Please keep the thread updated if you can in the future on the Boats usage and of course the esthetics.
I'm curious to know how the CQ holds up to the expansion and contraction of the wood foundation.
Also was this a traditional oil based Spar Varnish or some modern VOC compliant product that took the correction?
Rick
Thanks very much Rick! The varnish used is a very high end one called:

I am going to contact them and share this thread with them as I'm sure they'll be interested in the polishing as well as coating their product. I do keep in contact with the owner so I know he'll be sharing with me how it holds up and looks down the road. I am looking so forward to seeing it all done and in the water.

Absolutely incredible !!!
Thanks very much Ron.

That boat looks amazing, nice work!
I appreciate you taking the time to comment; that means a lot to me!

Beautiful work Richy! What an incredible transformation on a gorgeous boat.

Well done.

Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much Mike!

Haha Rick! I appreciate the kind words. That was one of the most appealing things to me was to venture into those uncharted waters.
