Thanks kindly. I had put a lot of thought into how I was going to write this up. To my knowledge, nobody had polished and coated varnish before, so I wanted to be as informative as possible and I also wanted to share my thought process going through this project. I'm glad that you enjoyed reading it. It was a fascinating journey and I wanted the reader to live it with me.Your work is not only outstanding, but your reviews / write ups are equally good.
Thanks Bill...for both!Very nice, Richy. I'm going to post a link to this thread on another forum.
Looks awesome!
Thanks very much Rick! The varnish used is a very high end one called:Well done, looks great!
Please keep the thread updated if you can in the future on the Boats usage and of course the esthetics.
I'm curious to know how the CQ holds up to the expansion and contraction of the wood foundation.
Also was this a traditional oil based Spar Varnish or some modern VOC compliant product that took the correction?
Rick

Haha Rick! I appreciate the kind words. That was one of the most appealing things to me was to venture into those uncharted waters.I just can't find the words to describe how incredible that turned out......phenomenal comes close. Not to mention that took real guts to sail into uncharted territory. (Sorry, I couldn't help it)
