One word describes this thing:

HORRIBLE!!

Now, normally I am not one to rant, but seriously AG?! Stop selling this piece of junk or revise it. I love my AG housebrand products but dear god this thing sucks!

Let me tell you how my FIRST use with it went.

1) Put it on my gallon container. The plastic tube was too long, so no worries just cut a little piece off.

2) Pumped a few times and checked it in a measuring cup. Yup 1 ounce! Getting pretty happy :)

3) The thing starts dripping, and I mean everwhere and a lot! One ounce per pump and one ounce dripped all over the floor is more like it. I tried shaking out the leftover product in the pump, but no it just keeps coming out.

4) Ok, I'm taking this piece of junk off.

5) Too bad the thing breaks as I'm unwinding it off (and no I wasn't going Hulk on it, I was very calm.)

6) Ok. Finally got it off and guess what, it breaks into another piece. All the freaking pieces of this pump came apart in less than two minutes.

7) Called AG for my refund and I told the guy I was talking to that I love AG and their products, but that thing is a piece of junk.

8) Props to AG on wonderful customer service and prompt refund :)

Now do your customers a service by either revising that pump design or getting rid of it! It is a piece of junk!

Horrible, horrible, horrible!

Btw, 6 reviews on the AG product page and they are all one star. I read them beforehand, but thought that I could handle a little dripping. How wrong I was! Also, it wasn't just a "little" dripping it was a LOT!

Just for the record, this isn't really a house brand pump, I got some a long time ago from somewhere else (honestly don't remember where) and yes, they drip. I was using it for thick car wash soap and I wound up putting the jug on the edge of the seat so the drips would go in the sink. It does seem to work better with thinner liquids because the drips come out faster...if that makes any sense.

I used it with ONRWW and man it does drip faster but it still dripped a LOT out.

Either way, AG only sells quality products (even if not one of theirs) and this is not quality. Should be taken off the shelves imo.

Yeah, it's a really good idea...it just doesn't work out that well.

This might work out better for you: Pro Blend Bottle Proportioner 128 oz. , although I haven't used that one.

Have it! I just have so many gallon bottles that I wanted to try something that was better suited for ONRWW, like a gallon pump that I could just press once into a bucket.

Agreed, great idea. Horrible execution.

I like them for thin liquids like apc but not good for soap bc it's hard to get full amt out of the measuring container

the pump lol, I don't like the bottle proportioner either, however it's not terrible like the pump

Every pump I have tried to date makes more mess than it is worth.

So you read terrible reviews but bought the product anyway....and now your complaining about the very issue you were made aware of beforehand. Come on man! Lol

Uh yeah, the reviews said they dripped a little. That's not true... they drip a LOT. And mine broke apart when I unscrewed it. No review said that either.

I'm complaining because it was even WORSE than the reviews.

These pumps are sold everywhere and all perform like you described. I bought the same pump from autogeek, chemical guys, and US plastics hoping each time they wouldnt leak but nope.. theyre all the same. Unfortunately its the only option for a gallon pump so its better than nothing!

Hmmm. I just bought 3 of these: 2 from Chemical Guys and one from EBay ($7 delivered). I have them all set up, but only have used the EBay one. It only dripped a drop or two, which I was expecting, so I caught it in the dispensee bottle.

I leaned a long time ago to shake it so it doesn't drip.

It was on a gallon of ONR. The CG and EBay ones are different. I'll have to report back when I try the CG ones.

Maybe put a little rubber vacuum hose cap on the end. These really should come with a cap or a plug that fits in the hole to prevent drips.

I have one from cg that I use only to refill my spray bottles with gallon jugs of stuff like v7. It works ok. After I refill the bottle, I unscrew it and put my finger on the end of the nozzle and pull it out and let the bottom hose hover above the bottle or jug opening and let my finger go and whatever liquid was in the hose drips straight down into the jug or bottle.

It just seems that it can't be that hard to make a pump that only pumps out 1 ounce and is quality. Apparently, it must be, because so far I have yet to find one.
