Unwanted Visitor

I came in this morning to get some Gel Coat Labs products to test out on the boat and found this guy on the floor next to the Sedan Delivery, I don't know if he crawled out of it overnight or came from somewhere else but he's about the size of a half dollar and kind of creepy.

He looked a little sluggish so I started to pick him up and about a second after I grabbed he came to life! So I scooped him up with a little cup and set him on the paint and took this picture.

I then walked him down to the far end of the building and let him go...

Now I am going to have the feeling of something crawling on me in the office. I HATE spiders! And he looks mean.
 
By far end of the building you're referring to Meghan's office, right?
 
I ended the life of a spider that looked like that when he hopped at me. I was going to move him at first. I'm all about saving a life until they get creepy. I'm a big guy; but, am very creeped out by spiders.

I'm such a baby.

BTW, What is the best way to remove spidering like that in yellow paint? lol

I always use raid for spiders, but make sure you reseal the finish after, and never smack them, it can cause chipping and sometimes dents!
 
I thought there was gonna be an after picture of him all shiny and sealed, haha. :buffing:
 
just watch that no one smashes it with a shoe. (note the new cell phone commercial when the guy puts his phone on the table and the girl freaks out and the older dude smashes it with his shoe.)
 
Oh man, if I saw that, I think this would have been my choice of remediation

Since you brought it up, the first one built a web right outside my back door. He was a little bigger than a quarter.

This one was outside my front door. The FedEx guy knocked, I though he needed a signature but he said he was just letting me know there was a black widow on the there. About the size of a quarter. All I can say is it's not there anymore. :hungry:

Cool picture! Spiders are not fun. We slept with mosquito nets when I lived in PNG... Malaria... But those tarantulas could get into anywhere. If you got up in the middle of the night you would run into a lot more than one of them. :bolt:

Nice pic! I always dig your photography Mike. Spiders don't bother me much and if it eats one mosquito in it's life, than I consider it a friend.

You're a bigger man than me. If I didn't run, I would have looked for the biggest stick I could find and smashed him. My biggest fear is to have something like him land on me while I was driving. I heard it happened to a lady in Australia and she freaked out and flipped the car over.

My dog Jack attacked one of those last night after tearing loose from me before I could get her lead hooked to her collar. She beat it up pretty bad while I stood there screaming in my bare feet not knowing what to do about it.:nomore:
