Just for the sake of rambling on ... (much like beating a dead horse).
There are two ways to post a picture.
- Upload a photo onto AG's forum.
- Link a photo from another location.
If you upload a photo by using the "Manage Attachments" button under
Attach Files, you are putting a photo onto AG server (storing it there). If you use a link, obviously another server is storing the photo (like Photobucket) and you are just creating a link to this forum.
Harley, if you would like to upload a photo to AG without putting it on Photobucket you can still get the full picture to show, it's just a little tricky.
- Upload your photo as in the past.
- After it uploads, right click on the attachment.
- Select Properties
- Right click and copy the Address of the attachment
- Then, back in your post, use the little square icon that looks like a yellow picture frame with mountains in it. Paste your attachments Address in this window.
- The end result should look like
or you'll see the picture appear.
I find it easiest to use the little pic icon all the time, just entering the photo's address in the box (no matter where the pic is stored). Just make sure after you copy an address from Photobucket or wherever, it should only have http:// in the space once ... followed by the URL address.
I wonder how much sense that made?
