Used Nanoskin for the first time!

I am looking to purchase an autoscrub product - just not sure which one to pick up.

Is the scrub going to take more than compared to the cloth?

Anyone noticed marring from the fine grade mitt? I noticed it on 2 different vehicles I did. I am not using glide. I'm using blackfire rinseless wash diluted to a rinse less in a bucket and blackfire rinseless quick detail spray for extra lube. I feel I'm using plenty of lube.

After seeing the marring I'm not sure I want to offer a clay service without a polish. Or at least let the customer know about potential marring.

Will glide really limit marring as the BF RL is really slick...

Was it the Autoscrub Medium grade or the fine grade. I believe the fine grade scrubber is blue and the medium scrubber is orange. I am glad to see that you like this better than a clay bar.

Just wanted to know which scrubber you used.

My Update on Nanoskin: I bought the Blue one (fine) and I have to tell you it is way easier to use than clay! It saved me so much time from claying. I also bought the 6" Blue pad for a DA but did not try it.

You save quite a bit of time. The only drawback (if you call it that) is that I had to train my mind to let it know I did not have to knead the clay. Checking for contaminants is the same except you just wash it off. WOW so much easier.

The other is...the car that I clayed was pretty clean ie not too much oxidation, bird doo doo, etc. I will try that on a real beat up car in the near future. But so far WOW!!

:dblthumb2:

Yep! For me as well. For a correction it's a no brainer as it saves so much time. However, if I were only changing or refreshing LSP I would opt for fine clay.
yes for me too. I used it on my silver 4 runner and no marring but when i used it
on my black lexus it left some marring in the paint. it was no biggie because i was
going to polish anyway. But now im afraid to use it on someone else is car if
im not planing on polishing, just looking to throw a coat of wax. I really love to use the nano skin on the DA. Just so much easier than clay. any thoughts on how to use this without issues
on a black car.

I also use the fine grade sponge. It does save time. Unfortunately the last time I actaully needed clay as the sponge could not pull out the contaminants on the surface. This was on my dad's cat that sits outside 24/7. The sponge worked great on my daily that sits outside 24/7. Stage that his had ougher contaminants than mine considering we live and work in the same area.

Yeah I did notice a lot of marring as well regardless of how much spray I used. I am not using glide as well. I am using the waterless wash by pinnacle.

I am going to polish so that's okay. I am not sure what the impacts of using glide is. Can anyone chime in?

IMO, as long as you use proper technique, marring will occur depending on surface more than depending on what lube you used, repeating, as long as you are using proper technique (and plenty of lube is included). GLIDE it instead of scrubbing over surface. Thorough wash the vehicle prior claying.

I've never faced ugly marring with nanoskin, however, on recent use, it happened.

Indeed, it happened while I was trying to do my best anti-marring technique, plenty of lube, really soft and few passes... the paint was just too soft (and solid black).

Take a look, and don't hesitate asking if you need support. I have many posts regarding nanoskin use here on forum
