I just did the trim on an SUV and a Mustang. I now have an applicator sponge wet with UTTG. What do I clean the applicator with before storing it in a zip lock?

I use an APC, but it really never comes completely clean. Gets a lot of the excess out though. I think in has enough solvents in it that it doesnt get moldy.

I would just leave it saturated and store it in the ziplock bag. No need to clean it.

I just wash with apc and dawn . it never comes fully clean . store in zippy for designated usage . I thought I heard somewhere to not zip the bag shut . keep some airflow goin ? but if using one of them yellow apps they pretty cheap, toss em out . applying uttg u not gonna need to re apply to often . very durable .

:iagree:

Foam applicators are so cheap these days after I use it it goes into a plastic bag but once it gets grungy it's in the trash...

I use foam paint applicators from Lowes or Home Depot.....when I'm done they hit file 13.

I UTTGed my shoes and when I wad done with the applicator I just put it in a ziplock baggie and labeled it UTTG. From other members its kept primed and foam pads are pretty much disposable items anyways.
