Oh man.... that's really sad. Sorry to hear about that!
Really sucks they got the Lexan top too. Just a heads-up, GM no longer makes replacement tops for a C5 so the only way it can be repaired is for the dealer to send it out to a specialty company (I was told there are guys just outside Chicago who are the only ones rebuilding them) so the original lexan panel can be removed from the frame and a new one glued on.
Good luck!
really sucks especially to a nice car like a vette. did you park horribly or something? highly doubt you did...
You know what? I had to go digging to find it HERE.
That sucks. Sorry to hear about it. The fear of that happening is why I rarely drive my Shelby to public places like that. It should not be an issue, but, there are jerks out there. My wife and I went to a very nice restrant in Titisville, FL and soom jack-ass keyed the vette while we ate dinner.
I am so pissed, what is it with people that do that kind of thing.
Called the insurance company and it is covered.
They got the right door and right rear quarter panel. The top and the rear hatch.
I did have a few scraches on the rear hatch but they added more to it. The top is a removeable top and is made of lexan so that will have to be replaced.
My policey cover a rental car so no time lost at work.
What a mess, the wife was pissed also. I just don't understand how people can do that to someones pride and joy.
End of rant,
Tom
Sorry to hear this, when I had a 2005 C6 the wife and I stopped at Wally World to pickup some meds and the 10 minuntes we were in the store someone poured a coke on the hood of the car it was on the secuirty cam but we couldn't make out the tag.
