Video: Trying P&S Bead Maker for the first time.

Is the slickness still there?
Sure is... still very slick. Even after all the salt and brine they us on PA turnpike. Washed and dried very easily...

Thanks, can't wait to try it out. BTW what was under Bead Maker?

Seems to complement the FK1000P that is applied underneath...

I ordered a bottle during cyber sales, is this all polymers (as description would suggest) or does it include SiO2 as well?

No SiO2 from what I can find, just a monomer that binds and forms a polymer with a hardener. Seemed to cure in about three hours in my experience. They say two to eight hours to cure... guess it depends on temperature and humidity. It was 50 degrees and low humidity when I applied. Not a chemist, but it worked well in my case. Not sure of durability but so far so good. It's going to be hard for me to not apply once a month, but interested to see how long it lasts .

I recall also reading in one of the reviews that the first time applying may require more product but after that it’s easy to apply and less product.

I’ll tease anyone waiting for longevity claims with that (don’t you want to try another coat??).

The battle of the orange ones: Beadmaker vs V07. Which one is glossier? Side by side! I want to see it.

I had used CG V07 for the last two years as a drying aid with every wash. Was looking to use Beadmaker the same way, but looks like it holds up better than V07 and is definitely a higher gloss and way slicker than V07...IMHO

I used about 8 ounces the first application as recommended . Then used the damp microfiber to wipe down interior. Seems to work well on all surfaces

Eight ounces??, isn't that a lot of juice?

How many ounces for subsequent applications?
So a half bottle the first round.

i dont think that much product is required..

I can’t picture using 8 ounces on mid-sized sedan or SUV, even if directions state so... still curious as to what’s expected for the 2nd+ applications.

I think they said 6oz the first time and about 1oz each use afterwards (as drying aid)

Yeah, heavy coverage the 1st time around and after that, 1-2 sprays per panel after that. Also, dry application is the way to go with the initial application.

I'm thinking I should've went with the gallon though, I outsmarted myself the wrong way...128 oz for $32.00 vs.16 oz for $10.00

Yeah. And with 25% off the gallon was a no brainer. Mine arrived today.

Christmas isn't that far away, LOL

Yup. 6 to 8 oz for the first application, which is a "heavy" application to make sure you get proper coverage. After that, it's just a matter of using it as a drying aid so one or two sprays per panel (less than 1 oz for a car) and regular maintenance. I actually prefer drying the car first, and then spraying Bead Maker on a dry surface after maintenance washes.

For some reason, I'm not leaning towards using Beadmaker as a drying agent either.

I just applied WetCoat 2 weeks ago to my car, so I'm going to wait to try Beadmaker or should I just top it?

I was thinking of using it as shown heavy first then as drying aid. Well I cheated and went straight to drying agent mode. My van has two drives in the rain and 700 miles Hwy & City parked out side. IT is dirty now but super slick and shiny still.I ordered my 2nd. gallon on the tool sale with a 3" Flex. It lives up to the hype!
