New car detail
-Dealer didn't wash it, just took plastic off

Followed the normal process:
-Wash
-Iron-X
-Wash
-Clay (you wouldn't believe the amount of crud that came off the roof)
-Griot's 6" with LC white pad and Menzerna SF4000
----Prepped with Pinnacle Black Label Cleansing polish LC black
-Finished with Pinnacle Black Label Paint Coating, hand application

Did not clean wheels yet, going to pull them off and coat them inside and out with Black Label and tuff coat the tires. Wanted to make sure the paint got squared away quick.

very very veryyyyyy nicely done good sir lol mine was a show room car so it didn't come in plastic. But it came with plenty of dealership wash love (Complete hack job on my paint) lol

this black paint is going to take up soooo much of my time.

:wow: What a gorgeous job! The paint still looks wet and that's how black should look all the time....

VW's have hard clearcoat so you can work it pretty hard if you have to but they do swirl easily if you aren't careful with your wash mit and keep it clean and use a grit guard. Looks great. I work at a VW dealer. Did you see the 2015 GTI?

Yes, daily driver.
I've seen the swirlability first hand, it does happen real quick
I did see the 2015, its really nice. This is the most refined and debugged version of a mk6 we will get though. And there are deals to be had.

Thanks everyone for the compliments.

Yea dude a black daily driver is gonna be hell. Goodluck to you

Already had my first scratches put into it by window tinters. Why would a shop that offers detailing let a tint installer set their spray bottle on the roof?

Wow that looks fantastic. How many passes did you need with the SF4000? I have a new VW Sportwagen that came with some hazing, and have not gotten anywhere with Meguiars M205 on orange and white pads. Considering trying some Mezerna products instead.

I'm not the OP, but when I corrected my black '14 VW GTI this spring, I used Blackfire SRC Compound and then finished up with Blackfire SRC Polish. The polish was able to knock out all but the worst swirls, which is why I dropped to the compound and then worked my way up. You might have to do the same. Start with a compound on an orange pad and then follow up with a polish on your white pad.

Thanks for the advice, Desertnate.
