Do you guys use anything to protect vw leatherette seats? What products would be good to protect it?

Any of the good interior protectants sold here will work.

I have leather in my VW, but I've used 303 Aerospace, Vinylex, and Meguiars Natural Shine Interior Protecant on interior plastics and vinyl seating in many cars with great success. I even use the 303 on the coated leather seats in my VW and wife's Toyota.

I've got a sample of the DP Interior protectant I'm going to try out in a week or two. It's got a great reputation as well.

Any regular vinyl protectant works. We actually just got rid of my wife's beetle with it. You could also use a "leather" protectant that has a leather scent, if you want the aroma.

A good OTC is mothers VLR ( I personally don't care for the scent).

I used Wolfgang cockpit sealant on the whole interior including seats. It left the seats protected, better feeling, and great durability.

Collinite 855 is my go to for this, followed closely by Aerospace 303:xyxthumbs:

Is your VW a diesel? Maybe taking care of the leather will help with the fuel economy. ;) jk

I use the Sonax spray, followed by a Gtechnic leather guard.

thank you all for your help! I really appreciate it!

I use 303 AP on my VW leatherette, and yes mine is a Diesel. Mine is an 05 so it's one of the last of the non clean diesels though.

Optimum Protectant Plus was designed for both coated leather and vinyl. Provides a lite cleaning and nice matte finish--not oily at all. Works great on VW vinyl and leather.
