Hey Im looking into getting either or both what are your opinions/concerns regarding these? After reading some posts on here about mytee Im not too sure??

Thanks in advance

I'm just starting out but want to get decent equipment! Yeah that's the post that's got me second guessing Mytee but I would like to hear from some people that have the HP 60 also

Get. The VX.

I've never owned or used a vx, but I own a Mytee extractor and have lived the nightmare.

Sent from my DROID RAZR using AG Online

If your just starting out you can do more with a steamer. A steamer is great for cleaning interiors. Plus I like to use steam on jambs and engine details.

Same here. The VX has been one of my better investments. Does very well on hard to reach spots and on cloth. I also find many uses for it outside of the detailing world.

Okay is the VX going to be good enough? Would it be worth getting a cheaper extractor for certain things? and if so any suggestions

Thanks for your reply's

If you wanted a cheap extractor look at the Bissell little green with the heated tank or possibly the new dirt devil extractor.

Or just get a wet vac because you can you the purge feature on the VX500 to shoot out some very hot water if you need it then suck it up with the wet vac.

Or that. That's what I do so far and it's worked great.

Okay I think I'll just get the VX for now and use my shop vac for now! Now where's the best place to get one? why is their other company's putting their names on them they look identical to me?

I don't know if AG sells them. If you type it into google there's only a handful of people that sell them and there's one guy who is the importer. I would get the VX direct as they offer a life time warranty on the broiler.

I have a Daimer 300CS steam cleaner and a Mytee HP60 hot water extractor. The VX5000 is a great entry level commercial steam cleaner and has plenty of power to tackle any job. I personally have had good luck with my Mytee HP60 extractor over the last two years "knock on wood."

If you detail vehicles that have heavily soiled cloth interiors a hot water extractor is a must. This Toyota Prius required seven gallons of water to fully clean the carpet and upholstery.

Couldn't agree more. My 6 year old Mytee HP60 has been abused something wicked and I've never had any "major" problems I couldn't fix myself fairly cheaply. I do have a steamer at my disposal (not my own) that I do use rather often, but for the nasty soiled interiors that come in my shop, my extractor is a must and a necessary tool.

I own both. I had to replace a few fittings on my HP60, there are some hoses that run thru the solution tank that just keep rusting. No problems like the ones in that thread. After getting my VX I use it for carpets and seats. The only time I break out the HP is for the occasional trashed carpet. I wish I bought the VX first then maybe a smaller extractor, I may even sell this one.

I may be slow, but I do poor work.

I'd go with the VX

Sad thing about this Mytee mess is.. I have the Mytee Lite II Extractor & Mytee Firebird Steamer... Make me cringe after reading that whole thread lately. The duo hasn't let me down yet though "fingers-crossed"

I haven't used the Mytee.. but I swear by the VX 5000

best investment. Been running my detail shop for almost 4 years and I just bought the vx a month ago..

i kept telling myself and anyone who'd listen :

"why didn't i buy this years ago?"

$795 price tag is a small price compared to the time you'll save cleaning interiors.. plus your quality goes WAAAAY up and the car feels truly clean.. more than looks.. steam actually makes gives an atmosphere of clean as your disinfect. and the VX is great, not just for starters, but for pros as well.

go with the vx.
