Hey Im looking into getting either or both what are your opinions/concerns regarding these? After reading some posts on here about mytee Im not too sure??

If you wanted a cheap extractor look at the Bissell little green with the heater tank or possibly the new dirt devil extractor.
Or just get a wet vac because you can you the purge feature on the VX500 to shoot out some very hot water if you need it then suck it up with the wet vac.

Couldn't agree more. My 6 year old Mytee HP60 has been abused something wicked and I've never had any "major" problems I couldn't fix myself fairly cheaply. I do have a steamer at my disposal (not my own) that I do use rather often, but for the nasty soiled interiors that come in my shop, my extractor is a must and a necessary tool.If you detail vehicles that have heavily soiled cloth interiors a hot water extractor is a must.
I'd go with the VX
Sad thing about this Mytee mess is.. I have the Mytee Lite II Extractor & Mytee Firebird Steamer... Make me cringe after reading that whole thread lately
