Wally World purchases....

I mentioned him being extremely blunt and candid. He was just giving his reasons on why.

I haven't a clue. :surrender: :surrender: :surrender:

But; if I could afford 300 count Egyptian cotton shirts, $2,000 suits, and $900 briefcases I'd have a good supply of Wolfgang Fuzion on hand!

LOL... or a serious line up of cars in my driveway.

I have a new client who waxed their car using the "ICE" product line prior to bringing it to me. According to the client, they have used this product many times in the past and their car looked great. This last time they "Detailed" their car, after they applied the wax, they noticed a type of hologram spotting all over the car. It's really strange because when you look at the car, it appears that the spots actually come alive and seem to move around on the car. I have never seen this before. They said they rewashed the car using Dawn dish soap to remove the wax and then reapplied the ICE Wax. Still same problem. I did a quick single step detail with an AIO and the car came out great. They said the car looks so much better than it ever has.

And that's what it's all about! :props:

well, I'll at least have one of the nicer looking lawn mowers on the street now.

Plus, you ever notice that some people will swear by "product x" only if you try it, for whatever reason, you might not get the results you expected or had hoped for.

My best example is two collinite products: 845IW and 476s. I loved 845 and hated 476. Go figure.

OK. I'll try to be more blunt. Getting turned off to products because they are sold at Walmart is STUPID. Either the products work or not.

If you like Meguiar's #21 Synthetic Sealant, terrific. If you refuse to buy Nxt Tech Wax because it's a consumer product sold at Walmart, you don't know it's very close in formulation to #21. One is "professional" for smart people like you and the other is for dummies shopping at Wally World.

Check out the "Clearance Isle" every now and then, you will find some killer deals. A couple months ago I happened to walk down that particular isle and picked up three 32 oz bottles of Mequiars Quik Detailer for $2.60 a bottle and while I was there I also grabbed two 48 oz bottles of Mequiars Gold Class Shampoo for $2.60 a pop. I've been using the Quik Detailer as my waterless wash (only for minor dirt/dust) and it works great. I've also used it for a clay lube a couple times. A 32 oz bottle goes a long way. Can't complain about the Gold Class shampoo either, feels as good as soap costing 5 times the price. Nothing wrong with being a smart shopper and hunting down the deals. :props:

And this week I picked up some AutoGlym HD Wax for $20 on clearance (and I've seen it on clearance in Ohio and Va). Looks like the price point is probably too high to generate enough sales for WW. But a good deal for me:xyxthumbs:

Boy I tell ya I git-r-done at the walmert, youins doesn't now wut yer missin'!

Never dull, less than 5 bucks for a tin and it works well on chrome and metal
0000 fine wool. this is a bit more heavy duty than never dull
wheel/fender long handle brush. its soft and works so well under the hood, wheel wells, even on painted wheels/chrome it doesn't seem to stratch.
Purple power - degreaser, the cheapest and works well. simple green is great also 1:10 works just as well as 1:1 on dirty engines, but simple green cost a bit more. Personally I only use a degreser on the engine bay. I use APC/IPA everywhere else, carpets, wheels, pre wax cleaner, ect
delo 400 w10-40 oil. A gallon for 11 bucks, talk about a deal.
IPA - 1 liter for 2 bucks 91% rubbing alcohol
Distilled water - 1 gallon for 1 dollar. IPA+ distiled water 1:1 is the best window cleaner/wax remover ever. Streak free every time, but typical will remove rainx and other rain repellents, so I use another cheap ammonia free window cleaner.
Megs ultimate compound - 7 bucks for 12 oz, will last 3-6cars and really is the best compound polish out there and so cheap too. m105 is just slightly more cut, but 1.5 times as much. UC also has a longer work time and less dust.
Spray lubricant. a small can for 2 bucks, always useful, in door jams, hood latch, throttle linkage, spray on spark/glow plugs before rinsing engine bay and other electronics
California duster - it works and keeps me from washing my car twice a week. watch the junkman videos on you tube to learn how to use the cali duster properly.

Towels, none of them pass the cd stratch test, even the so called plush ones. If you buy them only use on wheels(painted not chrome) and under the hood/door jams.

So maybe safe to use on the wifes car, but not my own?
whaaaaaaaaaat, did I just say that out loud?

Your car's not going to explode if you use Turtle wax. I used to use Turtle Wax waaay back in the day, the original hard shell formula. I never had any complaints with it.

I too have loads of locally available stuff such as eagle one nanowax, Formula1 waxes(kit) etc.

Fortunately I found AG before detailing turned into a full blown obsession!! :D

You guys are NUCKIN FUTS!!! Haha
More More!!
P.S. I Luv Wally World!

One of the finest new products I've discovered I bought recently at Walmart. The new Meg's ultimate quick detailer. I'm assuming their new ultimate product line will soon be on their shelves soon. Frankly I would buy everything locally if I could. I like to support my local retailers. However when it comes to car care products I have to buy online almost exclusively now. I will however continue to buy megs and duragloss locally whrnever available.

I bought some ICE paste because it didn't stain plastic trim, was not that impressed with the application, and I like paste wax. Bought some liquid, and application is better, but since AG, now I use the liquid ICE on the snow blower, tool chest, etc. It's easy to apply and quick because I can put it on the plastic stuff as well. Have aso used the ICE interior stuff, and it's easy to apply and does OK. I figure there's better things out there that I want to try.
Was tmpted to buy some Autoglyn on clearance, but didn't. Have been trying to use up what I have before buying more. I get Stoners, some Megs stuff there because it's cost effective.

Dont forget the other mart. I was in Kmart this summer and they had Megs gold class wash in 1/2 gallons for $4.00, I got a case of it.
