It’s with a heavy heart I write this - one of our Autogeek Online Forums best & a dear friend of mine - Don - Fly07sti is mourning the loss of his Father.

I lost my father 19 years ago, and not a day goes by I don't think of him.

But as time goes by, the pain recedes and you find yourself left with all the good memories.

Saying a prayer for you, my brother.....
 
Don, You are an amazing guy my friend. I am so very sad to hear this....that day scares the living Hell out of me...my dad's 81. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Godspeed and God Bless.

Thank you to everyone that has reached out to me and offered kind words and condolences.
A little back story. My Dad had serious motorcycle accident 3 years ago which rendered him unable to walk. After multiple surgeries and rehab stints a scan in February of this year discovered he had stage 4 lung cancer which had spread to his back and brain. This was all discovered one week before my newest daughter was born. He was given 3-6 months to live. After my second daughter was born he was so excited to just get pictures with her so we could tell her stories of her Papa as she would not remember him. My mom told me he also bought both of my daughters birthday cards until their 16th birthday’s and filled all of them out. My oldest daughter is 5 and doesn’t totally understand what death is but she misses him and asks when he’s coming back. May is going to be an even tougher month for my family. My son passed away May 4, 2014 and now my Dad on May 27. Life is truly precious to me and I try not to take anything for granted and live everyday with love and compassion for my family and friends. While also respecting everyone I come into contact in my day to day life.
I have made some solid friendships through this forum that are completely unrelated to detailing or cars at all. It really means a lot me to see this thread made by Aaryn and all the support.

Again a big THANK YOU to everybody here. It truly helps as AGO is another home to me.

Of all your loss.

Last May 1st, my Dad passed suddenly from a heart attack. I always thought I'd have had more time with him. It just wasn't to be.

The only consolation we can offer is that of support. Of knowing that others around you, are keeping you and yours in mind.
