I just heard the devastating news that a long time forum member and contributor antti@561detailing passed away unexpectedly the other day.

Anyone who knew him knew he was a gentle soul whom was passionate about detailing and helping others. He and I messaged each other on Facebook every so often and he was a driving force behind reassuring me about my business venture.

Antti you'll be greatly missed. Rest easy bud!

I heard of his passing too...

I was told he was in his 40s, that's very young to have to leave this Earth.

Antti was a regular at all Autogeek's functions, he was a straight-up guy, honest, friendly, helpful and kind.

I'm saddened to hear of his passing. While events like this a are solemn, it's a reminder to those of us still here to take inventory of our physical, mental and yes, spiritual health and be pro-active while you can.

Here's a picture of Antti at one of our weeknight projects here at Autogeek....

He also had a great sense of humor, check out post #6 and then #7 of the thread the above picture was taken from...

2014 Post SEMA New Product Review at Autogeek

If you're reading this and Antti detailed anything you owned, you were fortunate, he was a true pro and talented craftsmen at the art of detailing.

:(

Antti joined us for so many projects, what I like about Antti (as well as most of the people that attended our weeknight projects), is I never had to worry about him on any of our projects. I trusted he would treat each car as though it were his own.

Most people that own a 1929 Ford Model A Streetrod would NOT trust others to wetsand it, but they trusted me with their projects and I trusted Antti...

Excellent write-up about Antti Mike. He will be greatly missed!

Nice post Mike, thanks for taking the time and effort.:dblthumb2:

... Terribly sad news.

I never met him personally but obviously being a member of this forum, you kind of feel as though a lot of folks are great friends.

Thanks for creating this post Justin, although I’m all sure we would rather it be bearing good news ...

Mike, what a wonderful post my friend.

Sure as heck makes me cherish the time I will spend with a few Autogeek Online Members while I am over here, you have to grab these moments when you can huh.

Rest In Peace Antti@561detailing.

Aaryn NZ.

I agree with Aaryn.

I didn't know Antti, but an AGO member is an AGO member. Feels like a lost brother. :(

Justin, sorry to hear of the loss of your friend and fellow Autopia member.

RIP Antti
