We Need More Sun Here In AZ!

Oh no. 117degrees is AZ is way better then 95 with 100% humidity.

except for the fact that you have to wear lip balm and hydrate like crazy or risk drying out.

I can relate to everything you said. It is 6/20/16 4:00am and 95 degrees. This time of year I usually wash the Wife's van around 4 in the morning to avoid the extreme heat, like 95 is just below extreme for us seniors.

I went out to go to work at 4AM and it was 93F.. Ugh....

Wish we had the inland SoCal weather... Yeah they get to the 100s but at least they cool down to the 60s in the morning.

Will be breaking 80+ on Thursday and Friday in my area of Germany this week. Will be the first time breaking 80 this year. High today of 66.

Sun-Mon-Tues we will be lucky to top out at 70....

100+ temps are easier to deal with than cold and snow. Blistering hot pavement/concrete is MUCH easier to deal with than ice. You have your mornings from 5 until usually 9-10. But 110+. That's just brutally oppressive. You just go out and walk or sit in it and it's like being in an oven.

I'm seriously to the point of not wanting to deal with inland SoCal anymore. It used to be 3 months of 90's and some 100+ stretches. Now it's 5 months with the middle 3 being over 100 more than under. I'm considering going North for 4-6 months of the year. Kind of a reverse snow bird (Is there such a thing as a heat bird?).

If there isn't we are going to invent it. I have the same feelings.

Wait. Back in the 80s, the snowbirds were here in AZ all winter. Then the Zonies (us) were on the beaches in San Diego all summer. Nobody doing that any more?

I have never been a beach person. Growing up in Pa. it was all in the woods/forest. I think the snowbirds are still around only more in outlying areas as the prices around here are a little high.

My daughter lives in Gilbert right now and I have her location saved on my phone and I get notifications on my phone almost everyday for the past week and half, I can't imagine what that much be like. I guess you could do a RW but would need to find some shade, find it early and get after it:dunno:
