All I know is that they look amazing in person - photos don't capture the look well at all.
I seem to remember one company did/does make a wax specifically for the BMW frozen paints, though....
Isn't this just a glorified matte paint job?
it appeared at the end of the vid, that the hood shed the water much like the latest and greatest sealants out there.
Video editing? anyone? or has the paint really been 'engineered' to shed water like that?

How are you going to bring it back to it's original form after it gets old and marred? You'll have to repaint it. That's how. And that's going to COST you. A lot!
That's what BMW wants. They love bilking their customers out of every penny they can. Like how the BMW HPFPs (high pressure fuel pumps) failed all the time. Turns out they outsourced it to some inferior company. Nice. Pay luxury prices for cheap outsourced parts and have to have the car in the shop all the time. If I were a beemer customer I'd be fuming.
