Wet Sanding gone wrong

I had no problem removing 2000 Grit marks with my PC7424 + Surbuf Pads + M105.

Queens as in Queens nyc .
Where abouts are you. I have a PTG and Roto if you're not to far away

Maybe some pics would help on your end mate . Just saying here , don t get me wrong .

thanks but as stated before i took pics but can't tell from when i saw them on pc so it would be useless putting up pics.

Take the picture and point your finger the specific spot. You might not be able to see it, but maybe another member can. Your Choice

Im with zach on this. On a test panel I was actually able to polish out 1500 grit with the flex XC 3401 with orange lake country cutting pad and fg400.

If this is the case, I wont have to get the Rupes for now and still be able to do headlights and buff them out out 2000,2500 using my PC

Because going up to 3000 would be more costly. My local Auto Paint shop (Bill Wrights) sells wet sand paper for like $1-$2 per paper.

That and they don't carry 3000

My CCS Yellow foam pad is super aggressive and now want to test it out on my PC IMO

My Detailing has been lagging because I've been going to school everyday :/

Side Note: my cousin said if he needs a finer grit like 3000. He just uses an old 2000 hahahaha (he was kidding btw) lol

Well I am going to try to wetsand it out today with 3000 grit. I will see if i can get some pics of it..

When you do wet sand with 3000, always take baby steps. Because you are still sanding and anything is possible.

Good Luck and Keep us posted

Well i used 3000 grit sand paper baby steps and it did come out. I also had to give the compound more time. I guess I must not have used the PA with compound long enough.

Thanks boys for all the support. Many more questions and issues to come in the future. lol

Yay!!

I've pulled out 2000 grit with PC no problem. I used m105 wit 3" mf cutting pad which pulled out the majority of the sanding marks. the camera couldn't pick up the remaining defects, called tracers. But with a mf polish pad and m205 it leveled it out perfectly. the mf pads do some magic! I know you already got it worked out, but maybe this can save you some time for the next one :)
