what are you currently watching?

Well I've got no idea if these were meant to be good teams or not. I saw some guys throwing and catching the ball, others kicking it, there may have even been some dancing, but there was too much standing around. It just all took so long I may have been distracted. Rugby League is played over two 40 minute halves with a lot less stoppages in play.

Dave
. . . and Sevens is done in half that time . . .

Fave of mine "Dark Passage" was on in the background while I whittled away here and found time to watch when I wasn't on con-calls. Classic Bogart/Bacall.

It's funny the contrast between classic older films and basically anything from this century, in the classics the dialogue scenes are slow and measured, and the action scenes are fast. While a lot of the latest have quick dialogue and long, often slow motion, action scenes. Unfortunately these classics are basically unwatchable for almost everyone born since 1990.

I know people almost my age that don't blink when they say they don't/won't watch black and white movies so it's not *strictly* an age thing but, yeah, that is more and more a part of it. I think that's also why movies can't be much more than 90-100 minutes or so before people complain they are too long. If I were to draw a Venn diagram of my TV watching activity the largest slices would be live sports and TCM, followed by BBC stuff, HBO/Showtime kinda stuff and syndicated reruns of Rockford Files and the like, LOL. Just rewatched a great Rockford Files last night that was a lesson in how DA's can abuse their Grand Jury authority, then I watched the Blackhawks lose (again). The RF epi, at least last night, was better. :)

Oh man, The Rockford Files, I love that show. A few years back one of our new digital channels played 2 or 3 episodes a day for a couple of years. The stories were great, the guest actors, and the classic metal that was in the show, or just in the background. At the moment the same channel is rerunning JAG and Diagnosis Murder, it's not the same.

Yeah, that's where I watch it - a local digital here that is broadcasting the "get" network (no idea) shows 2 epi's of Magnum PI then 2 of Rockford then another Magnum . . . then Quincy, LOL. Love Jack Klugman the actor but my wife and I laugh ourselves silly at the concept of a very late middle-aged Klugman being cast as this *sexy* ME solving crimes. "Hey baby, I carve up dead people and solve crimes - wanna come on my boat and sip champagne?". :ROFLMAO:

The Chosen, (seasons 1-4), for the 7th time. Every time we watch, we learn something new. Can’t wait for season 5 to be released in the theaters. There will be 7 seasons in total. Season 6 will be rough.

The Righteous Gemstones season 3
True detective season 4

I've been watching this show since I was a kid, it never gets old. Keeping Up Appearances, which originally aired between 1990 and 1995.

It's highly likely everyone knows a Hyacinth Bucket, pronounced Bouquet.....................

A like another one from ABC called LoveJoy.

My all time favorite from that golden era of British comedy is One Foot In The Grave.

I can certainly relate to poor old Victor Meldrew, you know, the annoyances of life. I'd say I'm probably a young Victor Meldrew.

These scenes have me in hysterics every time...........................

This one though, no words.................................
