what are you currently watching?

The F1 in Melbourne. I'm not a huge fan, I'm also doing a Sudoku and playing on my phone at the same time. It was hot and dry yesterday, and cool and wet today, but now they're racing, it's only damp. A couple of observations, the F1 cars don't bead up like I thought they would, I mean there is beading, but I wouldn't be taking a photo to post up on here. And the Aston Martin Medical car, it's a DBX, which I said I didn't really like the look of, well I really like it in Medical Car guise, it looks fantastic. They were using it earlier in the day as the safety car for the F2 race, it was slipping and sliding and twitching, but the driver held it together, the colour was great too.

I'm loving that colour, Yeah the F1 are kind of Psh! Give me V8 Supercars,
The racing this year has been crazy 🤪.

When comedy was allowed on free TV this was the Australian SNL
And better.

There is a reason why that show is not shown in repeat on both free to air and cable..............................it would have the PC police all riled up. Thing is, a lot of the stuff they were poking fun at was funny, it wasn't meant to offend or alienate certain groups in the community, it was "observational humor".

I want Kylie Minogue knocked up by 5 o'clock this arvo............................

Michael Douglas......................................

"When I bared my bum"...................................

I was too young at the time to understand who this guy was, I just found it hilarious.

You are wrong Jana, you are wrong, wrong, wrong.......................

This is the REAL interview.........................

Appropriate for today...................

"Oh no, you've run over a greenie"......................."what are you complaining about, that was unleaded petrol I run you over with".

Unlike us, I'm guessing your guys in the US don't get to hear about our political system?

Entrepreneurs Wives On The Run..............................

The BBC's Ground Force was the OG garden makeover program. I used to watch this show back in the 2000's, back when "lifestyle" programs were the rage.

https://www.youtube.com/@GroundForceArchive/videos

I'm reminded of this because I landed on an old Top Gear spoof that somehow I had never seen. Basically, its Top Gear Grand Force.........................and I've been crippled with laughter all day.

I've certainly learned a few tips watching this, in particular how to prune tall trees and a new method of removing weeds.

Doug Demuro(Catrs & Bids), Hagerty, and VINwiki YouTube channels make up the bulk of my viewing these days.

It's been nearly 10-years since Diesel-Gate hit the car industry. Revisiting the topic, it's almost unbelievable how these companies skirted the rules. While most people associate the scandal with VW, it was far more widespread than that, even tier suppliers like Bosch were involved.

And the emissions scandals are still going on, just this year Hino pled guilty to falsifying data on over 100k engines it sold in the US, agreeing to pay a fine of $1.6 billion. Toyota were implicated in this one as well.

I have a suspicion that every car maker knew what was going on with VW well before it hit the news. As is, selling diesel engines that easily met the standards, but without expensive add-on technology. That would have led to a "how did they do it" situation, followed by car companies buying diesel VW's to suss out how it was done, then kept quiet and followed the same path. Hello PSA, Renault, and I seem to remember Ford being caught too as they used PSA diesel engines throughout Europe.
