I had a similar situation play out in 2007...

Ran into my high school sweetheart at Kroger... She didn't want to chat though.

It was like seeing a ghost. She had been so idealized in my mind that she achieved "celebrity status" of sorts. She was kind of a cross between Jennifer Love Hewitt, and Marisa Tomei'. She was also extremely book smart, which became a prerequisite for any potential gf, because of her...
